  • Publication number: 20230244832
Abstract: Systems and methods for mesh refinement of finite element analysis simulations employ an analytical modeling program configured to identify a location of contact between two components and a finite element analysis program configured to use the identified location to perform finite element mesh refinement. In this regard, the location of contact (and location of desired mesh refinement) is identified using analytical modeling. Said location of contact is then provided to the finite element analysis program for determining precisely where to perform mesh refinement on the finite element mesh. The finite element analysis program performs a mesh refinement at the exact location of contact between two components to provide for optimized and more efficient finite element analysis.

  • Publication number: 20020144449
Abstract: The present invention includes a method for making a realistic three-dimensional animal decoy. The method includes steps of photographing an array of views of an animal that is to be the subject of the decoy. The photographic views are arranged to make a flattened, aerial view of the animal. A screen is prepared that receives the view. The screen is positioned over a three-dimensional vacuum mold, and, with application of heat and pressure, is permanently formed into a three-dimensional animal shell decoy that has photographically realistic features.

  • Patent number: 4808133
Abstract: An anchor locating buoy system is provided with a self-retracting anchor line. The buoy system automatically collects and stores any excess portion of line between a marker float and an anchor thereby minimizing the distance between the marker float and the anchor.
