Publication number: 20260134419Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for efficiently executing transactions across different processing domains in a distributed computing system. An example method generally includes receiving a request to transfer a quantity of tokens from a source processing domain to a target processing domain. Based on detecting initiation of a burn operation for the quantity of tokens on the source processing domain, the quantity of tokens are minted on the target processing domain. The minting is generally performed using resources in a cross-domain reserve resource pool. A request associated with the minting generally includes a signature generated by an issuer of the tokens and associated with the burn operation on the source processing domain. Execution of the request is finalized based on minting the quantity of tokens on the target processing domain.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2024Publication date: May 14, 2026Inventors: Walker MAYERCHAK, Michael GRANT, Chase Barrett MCDERMOTT, Jonathan LIM, Adrian SOGHOIAN, Keri Kaili WANG

Publication number: 20250328950Abstract: A logistics system uses an application to push notifications as a function of proximity for an appliance that needs a part for replacement. The logistics system consists of a sensor, a parts algorithm, an inventory database, a trilateration sensor, a routing algorithm, and an alerting module. The sensor at a first location detects usage of the appliance. The parts algorithm determines the part which is needed for the appliance. The inventory database at a second location stores inventory information for multiple parts of the appliance. The communication interface transmits data between two locations and the trilateration sensor tracks a location of the user device. The routing algorithm determines distance between the location of the user device and different locations having the part. Finally, the alerting module of the user device triggers when location of the user device is within a determined distance from different locations having the part in stock.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 22, 2024Publication date: October 23, 2025Applicant: Midea Group Co., Ltd.Inventor: Michael Grant

Publication number: 20250305735Abstract: A cooling appliance coupled to a cloud network to monitor unsafe temperatures and to notify a user about a quality of food stored in the cooling appliance. The cooling appliance consists of a storage space, a temperature sensor, a timer module, and a communication interface. The storage space is used to contain food. The temperature sensor is used to measure a temperature of the storage space. The timer module updates a timer with a time relative to boot-up of the cooling appliance. The communication interface is used to report the time and the temperature to the cloud network. The cloud network determines interruptions in operation of the cooling appliance as a function of the report. The communication module further sends a notification away from the cooling appliance about the quality of food after power interruptions for the cooling appliance.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2024Publication date: October 2, 2025Applicant: Midea Group Co., Ltd.Inventors: Michael Grant, Robert M. Publication number: 20250227817Abstract: Appliance control component(s) are described herein for determining whether an appliance system operator is present or not at a resonant induction appliance system comprising a wireless power receiver subsystem removably in a wireless power reception zone of a wireless power transmitter subsystem. While the operator is present, the appliance system operates to perform an appliance task. When the control component(s) determine that the appliance system operator is no longer present, the appliance control component(s) access a stored trigger and, based on the trigger, proceed to disable the appliance system by causing the transmitter subsystem to stop delivering enough wireless power to the receiver subsystem for the receiver subsystem to perform the potentially unattended work on the appliance task. The control component(s) also trigger a notification that the operational mode of the appliance system has been disabled to stop the potentially unattended work by the receiver subsystem on the appliance task.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 4, 2024Publication date: July 10, 2025Applicant: Midea Group Co., Ltd.Inventor: Michael Grant

Patent number: 12323417Abstract: A Package Terminal Air Conditioner (PTAC) or other room Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) appliance may present a temporary authentication code to a user staying in a room in which the room HVAC appliance is installed to enable the user to authenticate his or her mobile device and control the room HVAC appliance during their stay. The temporary authentication code is valid for a limited duration, such that a user previously authenticated to the room HVAC appliance loses authentication, and is required to re-authenticate with a new temporary authentication code when the prior temporary authentication code has expired. As such, a user lacking physical access to the room HVAC appliance, such as after the user's stay has ended, is no longer able to access the room HVAC appliance.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2023Date of Patent: June 3, 2025Assignee: MIDEA GROUP CO., LTD.Inventor: Michael Grant

Publication number: 20250005559Abstract: Certain aspects provide techniques and apparatus for efficiently executing reversible transactions on a blockchain. An example method generally includes aggregating tokens from a plurality of wallets into a global pool of tokens. Generally, the global pool of tokens comprises a first type of token and a second type of token. A request to exchange a first quantity of the first type of token stored in a wallet to a second type of token is received. A second quantity of the second type of token to transfer to the wallet is calculated based, at least in part, on a ratio of the first type of token to the second type of token in the global pool of tokens. The first quantity of the first type of token is transferred to the global pool of tokens, and the second quantity of the second type of token is transferred to the wallet.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2023Publication date: January 2, 2025Inventors: Keri Kaili WANG, Calvin CAI, Michael GRANT

Patent number: 11971903Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for bridging transactions across blockchains. The method generally includes receiving a request to invoke an atomic transaction including operations performed on a first blockchain and operations performed on a second blockchain. Generally, the atomic transaction is completed when an enumerated set of operations are completed. A first operation in the enumerated set of operations is initiated on the first blockchain. Initiating the first operation on the first blockchain triggers initiation of one or more second operations on the second blockchain. Completion of the one or more second operations for the atomic transaction is detected on the second blockchain, indicating that the operations of the atomic transaction relevant to the second blockchain have been completed on the second blockchain. Based on detecting completion of the one or more second operations on the second blockchain, the atomic transaction is finalized on the first blockchain.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2022Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Circle Internet Financial LimitedInventors: Michael Grant, Marcus Boorstin, Rachel Marison
