  • Publication number: 20060242981
Abstract: A refrigerated display case including a case that defines a product display area adapted to support and display food product to be visible from the front of the case. The case includes a canopy positioned above the product display area with at least one display panel. A refrigeration system supplies refrigerated air to the product display area and is adapted to maintain the food product at a desired temperature. A light source supported by the case projects light along a first path of illumination directed toward the product display area adapted to brighten the food product and projects light along a second path of illumination directed toward the display panel. At least a portion of the light along the second path of illumination passes through the display panel to be visible from the front of the display panel.

  • Publication number: 20060199496
Abstract: A louver for directing airflow in a refrigerated display case, and a refrigerated display case employing a louver. In some embodiments, the louver includes a plurality of fins positioned to define a plurality of channels therebetween through which airflow can be directed substantially in a first direction. Each fin can be elongated in a second direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction to define a length. Each fin can include an inlet end and an outlet end in a cross-section taken along the length. The louver can further include a curved inlet profile defined by the inlet ends of the plurality of fins.

  • Publication number: 20060059861
Abstract: A glass assembly for a refrigerated display case. In some embodiments, the glass assembly includes a first pane having a first edge, a second pane substantially parallel to the first pane having a second edge substantially aligned with the first edge, and a third pane substantially parallel with the first pane and the second pane. The third pane includes a third edge offset from the second edge and defines a step in the glass assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050257548
Abstract: A refrigerated display case including a case having rear and bottom walls that are coupled together to at least partially define a product display area adapted to receive a wheeled cart containing food product. The bottom wall includes a cart support surface elevated above the floor and adapted to support the wheeled cart within the product display area. The case includes an air passageway having a lower return flue located below the cart support surface. A refrigeration component is at least partially located in the air passageway to cool air directed to the product display area to maintain the products at the desired temperature. At least a portion of the cooled air in the product display area returns to the refrigeration component through the lower return flue.

  • Publication number: 20050126196
Abstract: A refrigerated merchandiser and a method for operating a refrigerated merchandiser. The refrigerated merchandiser can include a case, a first modular refrigeration unit, and a second modular refrigeration unit. The first modular refrigeration unit can be removably coupled to the case in fluid communication with a first refrigeration zone to maintain the first refrigeration zone at a first temperature. The second modular refrigeration unit can be removably coupled to the case in fluid communication with a second refrigeration zone to maintain the second refrigeration zone at a second temperature. The method can include removably positioning the first modular refrigeration unit and the second modular refrigeration unit in the refrigerated merchandiser, and maintaining the first refrigerated zone at a first temperature and the second refrigerated zone at a second temperature.
