  • Patent number: 10514083
Abstract: A synchronous drive belt includes an outer tension section and opposing continuous tooth section defining an outer surface. The synchronous drive belt further includes a cross-linked elastomeric body, and a tensile reinforcement section disposed between the outer tension section and the cross-linked elastomeric body. A fabric reinforcement is disposed inwardly adjacent the outer surface of the continuous tooth section, and the fabric reinforcement is enveloped by the cross-linked elastomeric body. Further, the cross-linked elastomeric body forms the outer surface of the continuous tooth section. In some aspects, the cross-linked elastomeric body contains a urethane material, which may be formed from the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and a hydroxyl functional polyol during a belt molding process. The polyisocyanate and the hydroxyl functional polyol may envelop the fabric reinforcement prior to reacting during the belt molding process, or even while reacting in the molding process.

  • Publication number: 20070145665
Abstract: Embodiment herein being by placing a media sheet into a chamber. The chamber has a bottom, sidewalls, and a movable projection within a lower portion of the chamber. The movable projection has an upper surface and the media sheet can initially rest on the upper surface of the movable projection. The method can optionally perform a first alignment process (using an alignment mechanism) while the media sheet rests on the upper surface of the movable projection. Then, the method can retract the movable projection to allow the media sheet to fall onto the bottom of the chamber. Next, once the media sheet rests against the bottom of the chamber, the method performs a second alignment process, again using the alignment mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20050120275
Abstract: Method and apparatus are provided for preventing faulty commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) peripherals or I/Os from disabling the bus to which they are connected. The apparatus has isolators coupled to the bus and the I/Os. A controller is coupled between the interfaces, a processor and memory, operating such that an I/O cannot transfer data to the bus without permission from the bus. Isolation memory keeps I/O and bus messages separate. I/O messages are checked before being sent to the bus. The method comprises: determining if there is a message for the peripheral, temporarily storing the message, determining if the message is for output or input, and if for output, sending it to the peripheral, and if for input, requesting and receiving it from the peripheral, temporarily storing and checking it, and transferring it to the bus only if valid. This prevents a failed I/O or peripheral from disabling the bus.
