Abstract: A computer-implemented method for authorizing a transaction comprises receiving, at a background system, physically discernible information about a vehicle associated with an authorizing party. Vehicle identification data is obtained, based on the received physically discernible information. One or more data assets are accessed in one or more databases. The one or more data assets define a plurality of associations. Each association of the plurality of associations associates identifying information about a respective vehicle with contact information. A particular association of the plurality of associations is determined. A request to authorize a transaction is sent, or caused to be sent, to a recipient identified by the contact information of the particular association. The disclosure further comprises one or more machine-readable media and a system.

Abstract: In a lubricant dosing arrangement for the lubrication of valve shafts on the cylinder heads of piston engine wherein the valve shafts are axially movably supported in housing bores formed in the cylinder heads and the housing bores include spaced lubricant seals so as to form between the seals around the valve shaft lubricant reservoirs, means are provided for supplying lubricant to the lubricant reservoirs and the valves shafts include means for permitting passage of lubricant out of the reservoir at a rate depending on the lift movement of the valve shafts so as to dose the lubricant volume permitted to flow out of the lubricant reservoir for the lubrication of the valve shaft.
