Publication number: 20150192073Abstract: An engine fuel control system is provided, including a supply line for the supply of fuel to a fuel metering valve which controls the flow of fuel to burners of an engine. Fuel is delivered at a first high pressure to the supply line by a pump arrangement. The engine fuel control system includes a restrictor located in the supply line for passage of the fuel delivered by the pump arrangement therethrough. The restrictor is configured such that fuel exiting the restrictor for onward supply to the fuel metering valve is at a second high pressure which is lower than the first high pressure. The engine fuel control system includes pressure limiting valves which actuate when the pressure difference between the first high and low pressure reaches a predetermined level to open a flow path for fuel on the supply line to by-pass the restrictor, thereby limiting the pressure difference.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2014Publication date: July 9, 2015Inventors: Michael GRIFFITHS, Roger SOUTHERAN

Publication number: 20150192075Abstract: An engine fuel control system includes a fuel metering valve that controls the flow of fuel between supply and delivery lines which delivers fuel to engine burners. The fuel control system includes a fixed displacement main pump which receives fuel from a low pressure source and delivers the fuel at a first high pressure to the supply line, an augmenter pump which receives fuel from the low pressure source and delivers the fuel at a second high pressure to one or more fuel-pressure operated auxiliary engine devices, and a start valve which is actuated at low engine speeds to open a flow path which diverts fuel delivered by the augmenter pump away from the auxiliary engine devices to the supply line to augment the fuel delivered thereto by the main pump, the start valve being actuated at higher engine speeds to shut the flow path.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2014Publication date: July 9, 2015Inventor: Michael GRIFFITHS

Patent number: 9013266Abstract: An authenticated RFID system is provided that uses elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) to reduce the signature size and read/write times when compared to traditional public key implementations such as RSA. Either ECDSA or ECPVS can be used to reduce the signature size and ECPVS can be used to hide a portion of the RFID tag that contains sensitive product identifying information. As a result, smaller tags can be used or multiple signatures can be written at different stages in a manufacturing or supply chain. A key management system is used to distribute the verification keys and aggregate signature schemes are also provided for adding multiple signatures to the RFID tags, for example in a supply chain.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2007Date of Patent: April 21, 2015Assignee: Certicom Corp.Inventors: Michael Griffiths-Harvey, Brian Neill, Keelan Smith, Tony Rosati, Walt Davis

Patent number: 8672327Abstract: A global property trading board game having a game board with a continuous travel path divided into stations being associated with respective countries and having markings, including economic values representative of the respective countries' gross domestic product. Movement of a game-piece along the travel path is determined by a chance-controlled device. Each player is allocated a line of credit represented by international business cards in various monetary denominations. The respective players are further assigned a global region constituting a trade-bloc of countries. A player may acquire the assets of any country corresponding to the station in which the game-piece is located, assuming the assets are not owned by another player, by payment of the designated economic value utilizing the player's international business cards. When a competing player's game-piece is located within a station wherein the assets are owned by another player the competing player must pay a tax to that player.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2006Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Inventor: Michael Griffith
