The belt pad of the child safety seat preferably comprises a lower component and an upper component, wherein the lower component is configured to be positioned between the safety belt and the child when the child is seated in the child safety seat and is secured in the child safety seat with the safety belt, and wherein the upper component is configured to be positioned on the side of the safety belt opposite to the side the lower component is positioned on.
