  • Patent number: 11962860
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include systems for generating personalized avatar reactions during live video broadcasts. For example, the systems and methods described herein can access a social networking system user's profile to identify an avatar associated with the social networking system user. The systems and methods can generate an avatar reaction by modifying one or more features of the avatar based on a corresponding emoticon reaction. Once generated, the social networking system user can select the avatar reaction for addition to an ephemeral reaction stream associated with a live video broadcast. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130179478
Abstract: A method for managing persistent data in a multi-image code load system is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes providing first and second code images for loading onto a computing system. The method stores, in a common repository, persistent data that is shared by each of the first and second code images. When changes are made to the shared persistent data associated with the first and second code images, the changes are recorded in the form of content deltas. When generating such content deltas, the method determines which of the first and second code images the content deltas apply to and marks the content deltas accordingly. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also disclosed and claimed herein.

  • Publication number: 20070226536
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for validating information in a hierarchical structure of redundant devices. A first plurality of redundant devices is examined to determine if status information residing within each of the redundant devices is consistent with each other. If the status information is inconsistent, the first plurality of redundant devices is identified as containing an error condition. If, however, the status information of the first plurality of redundant devices is consistent, all but one of the first plurality of redundant devices is excluded from further consideration. A second plurality of redundant devices, in communication with the all but one of the first plurality of redundant devices, is then examined to determine if status information residing within each of the second level of redundant devices is consistent with each other.

  • Publication number: 20070174663
Abstract: A system for analyzing mutually exclusive conflicts among a plurality of redundant devices in a computer system includes a data management module operable on the computer system. The data management module parses through status data generated by the plurality of redundant devices to identify an error condition in one of the plurality of redundant devices, generate metadata describing the error condition, and take action to resolve the error condition. A method of analyzing mutually exclusive conflicts among redundant devices in a computer system includes collecting status data from the redundant devices, identifying an error condition, generating metadata describing the condition, analyzing the metadata to determine a lowest-level or least impacting redundant device that is the root cause of the condition, and taking an action to resolve the condition.
