  • Publication number: 20230213841
Abstract: A device to quickly attach a body camera to an extendable defense baton such as an ASPĀ® friction baton or the like and allow it stream to a cell or other electronic device via a wireless connection. The attachment consists of a backplate having an aperture for an interlocking twist and lock mechanism that inserts into the aperture and interlocks the body camera to the backplate. The backplate in turn has a connection device that secures the backplate to an extendable defense baton. Optional lights with a power source permits a user to enhance building surveillance and/or in operation with checking for contraband or explosives on a vehicle or trailer.

  • Patent number: 11088430
Abstract: An iris bridge for coupling two radio frequency resonators includes: a body of dielectric material having an exposed first surface area, having a predetermined length, width and thickness, and having an elongate shape along the length of the body; a hole disposed through the body along the width of the body, the hole having a wall forming a second surface area of the body; and a conductive coating covering the exposed first surface area of the body and a first portion of the second surface area of the body. A second portion of the second surface area is free of conductive coating forming a non-conductive section of the wall of the hole. Such bridge may be tuned for coupling radio frequency resonators.

  • Patent number: 11088431
Abstract: A multimode radio frequency resonator is provided. The multimode radio frequency resonator comprises: a monoblock of dielectric material having an initial shape that allows for multimode resonance, the initial shape comprising surfaces areas and edges between the surface areas. The multimode radio frequency resonator also comprises a conductive layer covering the whole surface of the monoblock, and a split chamfer disposed at one of the edges of the monoblock. The split chamfer includes two symmetrical cut-outs at the outer-most sides of the edge of the monoblock, and a central portion that is intact with respect to the initial shape of the monoblock and separates the symmetrical cut-outs. A method for tuning such a multimode radio frequency resonator is also described.

  • Patent number: 8031589
Abstract: A local access fiber optical distribution network is disclosed in which a dedicated pair of diversely routed optical fibers is routed in the distribution network for each customer. In a preferred embodiment, a dual physical overlay ring core topology is used in the core. The distribution network includes working and protection logical path connectivity. No 802.1D Spanning Tree is required for recovery, providing resilience to any single network failure in any device or link, quick recovery times from failure, and a failure detection/recovery protocol that is not active on any devices other than the devices directly attached to the subscriber.

  • Publication number: 20030048746
Abstract: A failover transition system for a VLAN is disclosed in which a master switch and a standby switch are designated, as in the case of ESRP. When a network failure is detected, the master switch “bounces” or restarts auto-negotiation of a set of physical ports on the VLAN. In this way, ports are forced to re-ARP to update their forwarding database information immediately rather than wait until expiration of an ARP max age timer, resulting in a decreased failover transition time.
