  • Patent number: 5031965
Abstract: A dress wheel simulator for a truck or recreational vehicle wheel includes a stainless steel shell adapted to cover the outer face of the wheel from the wheel rim to a central wheel hub area. The simulator shell includes an enlarged opening in its wheel hub area with the opening being sufficiently large so as to permit the shell to pass axially over a majority of the wheel lugs with the lug nuts attached. A simulator hub cover having a radial flange with a plurality of lug nut openings and a pair of diametrically opposed lug openings is also provided. To mount the simulator, a pair of opposed lug nuts are removed, the shell is positioned against the wheel, the lug nut openings of the hub cover are registered with the lugs having their nuts removed and the lug nut openings are registered with the remaining lugs and the hub cover is passed axially over the lugs and lug nuts and against the shell. Thereafter, the lug nuts are reapplied and tightened to secure the simulator.

  • Patent number: 4991789
Abstract: A length or runner of carpet is provided for an entrance to vehicular quarters such as a recreational vehicle. The carpet is fixed to a spindle which is carried in a housing secured to the vehicle adjacent a vehicle entrance. When the vehicle is at a desired site, the carpet is unwound and laid out over the ground in front of the entrance. A hand crank is employed to rotate the spindle for rewinding the carpet. An electric or spring motor may be optionally used to rewind the carpet. When used in conjunction with vehicular quarters having a folding stair frame, the housing is mounted to stair support rails.

  • Patent number: 4913979
Abstract: A stainless steel wheel trim ring is constructed of an outer ring and a grip annulus. The outer ring is formed of a sheet metal band which is constructed from a rectangular blank having a pair of wedge shaped strain relief notches in a longitudinal edge adjacent to each end. The blank is welded at the joined ends to form the band. During manufacture, the band is expanded in the order of 25% at the longitudinal edge. A crimped peripheral bead along the longitudinal edge secures the grip annulus to the outer ring.
