  • Publication number: 20160151597
Abstract: An apparatus including a blower configured to provide a supply of breathing gas, and a delivery tube configured to deliver the supply of breathing gas to a user breathing interface. The delivery tube has an inside diameter of about 15 mm or less. The apparatus also including a control system configured to provide a control signal to the blower for controlling a pressure of the supply of breathing gas to between about 1 cm H2O to about 6 cm H2O at the user breathing interface. The control signal is based upon, at least in part, one of a pressure and a flow rate of the supply of breathing gas at the user breathing interface.

  • Publication number: 20160095996
Abstract: Nasal interface systems and related components. An embodiment of the system employs a nasal interface comprised of a base portion and a soft pad portion. The base portion employs one or more side-entry fluid supply hoses and flow redirection structure which gently and quietly redirects the flow of incoming fluid to avoid the creation of noise. One or more fluid supply hoses are connected to the one or more inlets, preferably by releasable engagement structure. The nasal interfaces of the invention are sleek, unobtrusive, visibly attractive and avoid exposure of expelled gases toward partners of the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20120111332
Abstract: A breathing apparatus includes an air delivery assembly and a nasal interface. The air delivery assembly includes at least one passage couple to a supply of air. The nasal interface includes a resilient pad having a first side configured to releasably couple with the air delivery assembly. A second side of the resilient pad is configured to engage at least a portion of a users nose. The nasal interface further includes a first air passage and a second air passage. The first air passage and the second air passage are configured to provide an air pathway between the air delivery assembly and a respective first nasal passage and second nasal passage of the user.

  • Publication number: 20110253147
Abstract: A breathing apparatus includes a supply tube configured to provide a supply of air. A first and second nasal interface each include a generally spherical member having a respective projection configured to be at least partially received within a respective nasal passage of a user, and are independently movable relative to the housing. A valve is disposed between the fluid chamber and an exhaust passage for selectively allowing air to be exhausted from the fluid chamber via the exhaust passage. A diaphragm, coupled to a bias chamber, is also coupled to the valve for moving the valve between the open position and the closed position. Bias pressure within the bias chamber is regulated, at least in part, by a loading fluid impedance and a venting fluid impedance.
