Patent number: 12138199Abstract: An intrauterine contraceptive system may include a contraceptive intrauterine device, a retrieval thread permanently attached to the intrauterine device and an insertion device for inserting the intrauterine device into a uterus. The system may also include a release thread releasably coupled with the intrauterine device. The intrauterine device may be deployable out of a distal end of the insertion device and may be configured to change from a delivery configuration when housed in the insertion device to a deployed configuration when deployed in a uterus. The retrieval thread and the optional release thread may be at least partially housed within the insertion device during insertion of the intrauterine device into the uterus. The release thread may extend from the intrauterine device through the insertion device to an attachment point at or near a proximal end of the insertion device.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2023Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Sebela VLC LimitedInventors: Michael Tal, Bob H. Katz, Mark James DeBisschop

Publication number: 20240259048Abstract: A system for wireless communications includes an antenna and a controller, the antenna configured to transmit electrical data signals, the electrical data signals including an encoded message signal. The encoded message signal including one or more encoded message words. The controller is configured to encode one or more message words, of a message signal, into one or more encoded message words of the encoded message signal, based on a coding format. The coding format correlates each of a plurality of correlated ratios with one of a plurality of format words. Each of the plurality of correlated ratios is a ratio of a duty cycle of a pulse to a respective period associated with one or both of the duty cycle and the pulse. Each of the one or more encoded message words are encoded as one of the plurality of correlated ratios.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 29, 2023Publication date: August 1, 2024Inventor: Michael H. Katz

Publication number: 20110234377Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for use in interrogating a RF signal. The apparatus includes a reader module that determines the transmitted RFID information associated with the RF signal based on tag type parameters associated with a first RFID tag type. The apparatus further includes a validation module that compares at least a portion of the transmitted RFID information with an expected characteristics associated with the RFID tag type to determine if the RF signal was transmitted by a RFID tag associated with the RFID tag type. The apparatus may also include a tag type selector module that determines the tag type parameters used by the reader module.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2011Publication date: September 29, 2011Applicant: RF IDeas, Inc.Inventors: Richard William Landuyt, Gregory James Gliniecki, Michael H.
