Abstract: A device and system for purifying a fluid is provided. The system includes a tank having an interior space and a media container disposed within the interior space. A valve is provided that cooperates with an element within the interior, the valve being movable between an open and a closed position. The valve being biased to the open position when the element is not positioned within the interior space, wherein the interior space is fluidly coupled to the atmosphere in the open position. The valve further being configured to move to a closed position when the element is positioned within the interior space.

Abstract: Ohmic contacts to p-type IIB/VIB semiconductor are obtained by a process which includes the step of depositing a viscous liquid containing a Group IB metal salt on a surface of a semiconductor, substantially free of oxide groups, heating to form a dried layer, removing the dried layer, washing the surface to remove residual by-products and drying the surface.

Abstract: A head restraint for the occupant of a vehicle seat is disclosed, which rrains the forward and downward movement of the occupant's head when subjected to large deceleration forces. The restraint includes a strap assembly which encircles the back of the occupant's head and releasably connects to his helmet adjacent to each of his ears at two locations. A retaining strap is slidably connected by a loop to the strap assembly and extends behind the head to a restracting means fixed in the seat. The retracting means pulls the head back against the seat when the deceleration forces exceed a predetermined level, as during flight maneuvers. During normal flight conditions, the occupant is able to move his head freely from side to side as the strap assembly slides through the loop.
