  • Publication number: 20020163700
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the beam guiding of a laser beam with at least one optical element and with a housing that has a first housing section, which can be fitted at least partially into a support body of a power laser or beam guiding system or can be attached thereto, and a further housing section that at least partially encloses the optical element, wherein a one-piece housing is provided, into which the optical element can be fitted, and wherein a bearing surface for the optical element is provided, which bearing surface at least partially encloses the housing opening and has a coating with a surface that is harder than the housing material.

  • Patent number: 5351263
Abstract: Known power lasers have outstanding electrical, optical and mechanical properties, in spite of different temperature conditions during switching on and during operation. However, they are expensive. These properties are retained, despite cheaper production costs in that, starting from a solid monolithic optical bench, several mirror blocks and intermediate blocks are mechanically rigidly connected to this, and are shaped such that they do not deflect during chip-removing machining, and those bores necessary for the laser path are only then provided.

  • Patent number: 5267759
Abstract: A connector assembly for resiliently actuated coupling of a first component of cylindrical configuration to a second component with a cylindrical recess utilizes a pair of interfitting inner and outer annular ring elements having first and second axial ends and axially extending overlying body portions. The first ends extend inwardly of the recess and the second ends are in surface contact with the circumferential surface of the cylindrical component. Each ring elements has a radially extending flange on one of its ends which extends along the ends of the other ring element into close surface relationship with one of the components.

  • Patent number: 3944717
Abstract: A telephone service cable which runs from a distribution cable to a subscriber's premises or to a pay station is another link in a buried communications system having a water-resisting capability. A spirally quaded core comprised of individually insulated conductors is advanced through a bath of a flame-retardant, water-resistant composition prior to enclosing the core with a jacket. The interstices in the core and between the core and an inner jacket are caused to be filled with the composition which comprises a liquid system and a solid system. The liquid system includes a chlorinated paraffin while the solid system includes a polyvinyl chloride resin and a chlorinated polyethylene. An epoxy stabilizer and a phosphite stabilizer may be added to prevent thermal degradation of the filling composition.
