  • Publication number: 20080168610
Abstract: An apparatus for inducing variable randomized patterns of traversing a floor of a swimming pool by a suction cleaner device; said apparatus comprising a water flow driven mechanism for axial rotation of a pool cleaner hose; said hose located between a suction pump inlet and said suction cleaner device.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 16, 2006
    Publication date: July 17, 2008
Inventors: Roy Michael Halle, Basil Van Rooyen
  • Publication number: 20080092322
Abstract: An apparatus for inducing variable randomized patterns of traversing at least a floor of a swimming pool by a suction cleaner device; said apparatus including a water flow driven mechanism interposed between a suction pump inlet in a wall of said swimming pool and said suction cleaning device; said apparatus further including a suction hose and an angled connector attached to said suction hose; said angled connector rotatably connected to a swivelling outlet port of said suction cleaning device; said apparatus inducing substantially continuous axial rotation of said suction hose and said angled connector whereby rotating the hose and angled connector alters the geometry of the propulsion force of the pool cleaner thus steering the pool cleaner all over the pool.

  • Patent number: 7023466
Abstract: Three-dimensional display apparatus and methods are disclosed. The apparatus and methods generate three-dimensional images for an observer by providing components of the image in a series of frames to an image space. Providing the image components can include: scanning an image of a light shaping element over an image space wherein each of a plurality of zones of the light shaping element is projected to each of a plurality of zones of the image space; and, selectively illuminating portions of the light shaping element zones during each of several frames during the scan, wherein each light-shaping element zone scatters the illumination and at least a portion of the scattered illumination provides a component of the three-dimensional image in the image space.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 2, 2001
Date of Patent: April 4, 2006
    Assignee: Actuality Systems, Inc.
Inventors: Gregg E. Favalora, Joshua Napoli, Michael Halle
  • Publication number: 20050285027
Abstract: In general, in one aspect, the invention features an optical system which forms a light field by providing components of the light field in a series of frames to an image space. The optical system includes a spatial light modulator, a projection lens assembly configured to image the spatial light modulator to the image space for each of a plurality of optical paths, and a scanning optical component configured to direct light from the spatial light modulator through the projection lens to the image space, wherein during operation the scanning optical component directs light corresponding to successive frames along each of the plurality of optical paths through the projection lens assembly.

  • Publication number: 20020114078
Abstract: Lens arrays facilitate intermodulation of spatial and angular resolutions. The arrays are configured to have observable spatial resolutions significantly different from (and generally higher than) the pitch of the lens array, and may be used, for example, be used to simulate three-dimensional scenes.

  • Patent number: 5915533
Abstract: A hat having a brim configured to extend substantially around the head of a wearer, wherein a weight increasing means is provided on the brim to increase a radius of gyration of the hat. Typically, the weight increasing means is provided at, or adjacent to, a periphery of said brim.
