  • Publication number: 20210372552
Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system for connecting a mainline pipe with an outlet pipe. The system comprises an outlet pipe configured to be coupled to a mainline pipe near a proximal end of the outlet pipe, a first sleeve disposed on an exterior surface of the outlet pipe and comprising a first lip at a proximal end of the first sleeve, and a second sleeve disposed on the first sleeve and comprising a second lip at a proximal end of the second sleeve. The first lip of the first sleeve may be configured to abut an interior surface of the mainline pipe, and the second lip of the second sleeve may be configured to abut an exterior surface of the mainline pipe.

  • Publication number: 20150168300
Abstract: An article to perform surface plasmon resonance imaging includes a light source to provide source light, the source light including a source optical profile, the source optical profile being selected to match a transmission profile at a surface plasmon resonance angle; an optical transformer configured to: receive the source light from the light source; and produce a transformed light comprising the source optical profile; and an optical modifier including: a back focal plane disposed at a first surface of the optical modifier and including the transmission profile; and an image focal plane disposed at a second surface of the optical modifier opposing the back focal plane, the optical modifier being configured to: magnify the transformed light; and produce magnified transformed light that includes the source optical profile.

  • Patent number: 8907828
Abstract: A method for testing the material of a test object (8) in a nondestructive manner, said test object being moved relative to a probe (1) at a variable relative speed, comprises the following steps: detecting a probe signal (US) by means of the probe (1), subjecting the probe signal (US) to analog-to-digital conversion in order to generate a digitized probe signal (USD) in the form of a sequence of digital words with a predefined, in particular constant, word repetition rate, n-stage decimation of the word repetition rate of the digitized probe signal (USD) or of a digital demodulation signal (UM) derived from the digitized probe signal by means of n cascaded decimation stages (5_1 to 5_n), where n?2, selecting an output signal (UA_1 to UA_n) of one of the n decimation stages (5_1 to 5_n) depending on the instantaneous relative speed and filtering the selected output signal by means of a digital filter (7), which is clocked with the word repetition rate of the selected output signal.

  • Publication number: 20090114266
Abstract: An improved method of converting solar energy into electricity by spreading the solar spectrum and concentrating it onto solar cells that are band-gaped in the corresponding wavelength range. The spectrally separated solar energy can be concentrated into a normal rainbow line or spread out to individual regions. A low cost solar energy conversion collector results because concentration reduces the quantity of photovoltaic cells needed and spectral splitting increases the energy collected by using multiple appropriately band-gaped solar cells in the different wavelengths.

  • Publication number: 20040220708
Abstract: A vehicle-mountable, suspension monitoring system produces suspension-analysis information which can be used to determine adjustments to a vehicle suspension. Sensor structure located adjacent the vehicle suspension is connected to a control/processing/display (CPD) unit located adjacent the vehicle operator. The sensor structure senses suspension related information and communicates the suspension related information to the CPD unit. The CPD unit receives the suspension related information and converts it to suspension-analysis information. The CPD unit stores the suspension-analysis information and displays it to the vehicle operator. Alternatively, the suspension-analysis information is downloaded from the CPD unit to a digital computer for display as waveform data.
