In particular, provided herein are compositions, methods, and uses for inhibition or modification of sialic acid or its cognate receptor to restore phagocytosis in aged cells.

Abstract: A medical marking device can produce visible temporary marks, including at least one of indentations or colorations, in a specified pattern on skin or tissue of a patient. The marking device can include a body, such as a cap, that can removably attach over an end of a surgical marker. The body can include marking features, such as blades, optionally positioned at a longitudinal end of the body. The marking features can be pressed against the skin or tissue of the patient to form the visible temporary marks. The marking features can optionally be inked, optionally by the surgical marker, before the marks are formed. The marking features can optionally be distributed between a first subset, positioned generally along a line, and a second subset, positioned asymmetrically with respect to the line. An optional inclinometer can attach to the body to allow alignment to a horizontal direction.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for network security monitoring, information sharing and collective intelligence between and among at least a first central processing unit and at least a second central processing unit connected together by a network. The system includes a network interface device with hardware-based logic for recognizing and cataloging individual sessions, wherein the network interface card is in communication with the network. The network interface device includes onboard cryptographic key management components with symmetric key algorithms, an onboard packet encryption software module using derived keys to encrypt network packets, and software for storing encrypted copies of network packets as blocks. Third party analyst hardware and software derive keys necessary to retrieve encrypted network packets.

Abstract: A ceiling tile dust guard is provided wherein the dust guard includes in combination a room having wall and the wall comprising a ceilimg, a ventilation duct vent, and rails in the ceiling. The duct vent defines a plane parallel to the ceiling and provides a direction of air flow out of the vent into the room; the dust guard adjacent the duct vent provides a peripheral wall substantially perpendicular to and projecting away from the duct vent into the room diverting air flowing through the vent away from the ceiling adjacent the vent so that static electricity doesn't attract particles in the air flow onto the ceiling. The duct vent comprises a vent housing and the supporting means comprises rails in the ceiling supporting the vent housing.
