  • Patent number: 7025414
Abstract: Vehicle roof with at least one cover, which, by means of a lifting and closing mechanism, selectively closes a roof opening, or at least partly opens the same by lifting the rear edge of the cover, or by displacement along a guide rail, and a locking element (28) which locks the cover or a component connected thereto (cover support 6) relative to the guide rail (14) in the closed position, or in the lifted position. The locking element (28) is thus arranged on a locking lever (24), arranged on the cover or a component connected thereto so as to pivot essentially in a vertical plane. The locking element (28) is taken out of engagement with a locking recess (14f) on the guide rail (14), by means of a carrier device, at the end of a dropping movement of the cover, preceding the displacement of the cover into an open position.

  • Patent number: 6890025
Abstract: A guide arrangement for a roof element on an opening vehicle roof which includes a guide web connected to the roof element and a guide claw, having two opposing guide surfaces, which engages the guide web in such a manner that the guide surfaces lie on the guide web. The guide claw also includes an elastic element which provides adjustment for one of the two guide surfaces, such that the separation between the two opposing guide surfaces may be altered to provide tolerance adjustment.

  • Publication number: 20040090090
Abstract: The invention relates to a guide arrangement for a roof element on an opening vehicle roof, comprising a guide web (16), connected to the roof element and a guide claw (30), provided with two opposing guide surfaces (26, 28), which engages with the guide web in such a manner that the guide surfaces lie on the guide web. The guide claw (30) comprises an elastic element (46, 446, 546) which provides adjustment for one (28) of the two guide surfaces, such that the separation between the two guide surfaces (26, 28) may be altered to provide tolerance adjustment.

  • Patent number: 6631945
Abstract: An openable motor vehicle roof with at least one cover which selectively closes the roof opening by means of a raising and displacement mechanism (crank path, crank pin, drive carriage) and at least partially clears it by raising or lowering its rear edge and by displacement along a guide rail, with a locking element which locks an element connected to the cover with the guide rail in the closed position and the raised position. For reliable and low-wear interlocking of the cover mechanism in the closed and raised position, with a simple structure, it is provided that, in a sliding and lifting roof with a cover which can be lowered and can be pushed under the fixed vehicle roof, there is a locking element on the locking lever which is pivotally located on a component (cover carrier) which is connected to the cover being disengaged from the guide rail toward the end of the lowering motion of the cover which precedes the displacement motion.

  • Patent number: 5971472
Abstract: A wind deflector for reducing noise at a vehicle roof opening has a wind deflector blade (1) which is pivotally mounted by at least one pivot bearing to pivot about a pivot axis C extending crosswise to the direction of travel. The pivot bearing has two partial bearing shafts (6, 7) which are spaced apart axially on a longitudinal edge (8) of the wind deflector blade and are mounted in bearing blocks (12, 13) on the roof which, for axial insertion of the partial shaft (6, 7), are open at their respective axial ends and are closed at the opposite ends (14, 15) for axial supporting of an end of the partial shafts (6, 7). Between the two partial shafts (6, 7) there is a coil spring (16) which is biased at one end on a first spring housing (17) fixed to the roof in the region of a first partial shaft (6) and at the other end on a second spring housing (18, 19) on the wind deflector blade side in the region of the second partial shaft (7).
