Abstract: A method of creating a surgical operative note during a specific surgical procedure on a patient. The method includes creating surgical checklists for a plurality of surgical procedures before initiation of the surgical procedure, creating an index of image specific annotations for the specific surgical procedure before initiation of the surgical procedure, obtaining an electronic template, inserting one of the surgical checklists into the template associated with the specific surgical procedure on the patient, obtaining an image of the patient, inserting the image of the patient into the electronic template, using a voice command to associate at least one of the image specific annotations with the image of the patient in the electronic template, and inserting the at least one of the image specific annotations into the electronic template adjacent the image.

Abstract: A method of configuring an operating room including providing a storage system having system preferences, providing an operating room communicator, connecting at least one configurable device to the operating room communicator, obtaining the system preferences from the storage system, and configuring settings of the at least one configurable device according to the system preferences. The system preferences can be obtained without logging into the storage system. The system preferences can also be obtained when a surgeon comes into proximity with the operating room communicator without actively interacting with the operating room communicator.

Abstract: Two mold halves together form a mold cavity and one of the mold halves is fitted with a plurality of ejector rods that can be reciprocated so as to push a molded article out of that half. At least some of these ejector rods are formed with throughgoing passages terminating adjacent the inner ends thereof at nozzle openings. Air and a treatment fluid, such as a demolding liquid, can be injected into the mold interior through these rods, the nozzle openings in the ends of the rods being covered during the normal molding operation.

Abstract: An electric machine has a stack of stator plates forming a central throughgoing passage defining an axis and having an array of inwardly open and insulated axial grooves in the passage. A plurality of stator coils together form a tubular stator winding have a generally cylindrical central portion lying in the grooves, one end portion formed as a dome with a central aperture at the axis to one axial side of the stack, and another end portion of cylindrical slope to the other axial side of the stack. The domed end portion of the stator coil is secured together and physically stabilized by means of insulating lacquer and/or a domed insulating cage received within the domed end portion and mainly of smaller inside diameter than the outside diameter of a rotor within the stator coil.
