  • Patent number: 9770359
Abstract: The current invention relates to a base plate (1) for an ostomy collection device, the base plate comprises at least one backing layer (3) whereon an outer adhesive layer (4) is disposed on the proximal side of said backing layer, wherein the outer adhesive layer encircles an inner adhesive layer (7) also disposed on the proximal side of at least one backing layer, said inner adhesive layer encircles a through-going hole (5) of the base plate defining a central axis A-A, wherein at least a part of the backing layer whereon the inner adhesive layer is disposed is extendable in a radial direction in respect to the central axis A-A. By allowing the backing layer to be radially extendable with the inner adhesive layer, the backing layer functions as a barrier to output from the stoma.

  • Patent number: 9724227
Abstract: Disclosed is abase plate 1 for an ostomy collection device, comprising a cover layer 2 whereon an adhesive layer 3 is at least partly disposed. Immediately surrounding a through-going hole 6, the base plate has an inner area wherein the cover layer extends beyond the adhesive layer in a radial direction toward the through-going hole, thereby providing an overlap 7 protecting the adhesive material from contact with stomal output.

  • Patent number: 9696164
Abstract: A non-time of flight or time of arrival position location system for accurate determination of a user's location in an enclosed, indoor, or covered environment can include a number of beacons mounted in an arrangement within the environment. Each of the beacons is mounted in a known location and transmits a broadcast signal containing a unique identifier that identifies the originating beacon. A handheld electronic device including a receiver and a communicably coupled processor can receive broadcast signals from at least some of the number of beacons, iteratively determine a vector quantity corresponding to each of the received signals, and sum the resultant vector quantities to determine an updated position. The iterative process can be repeated until consecutive iterations yield an updated position that falls within a defined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20170147338
Abstract: A computer system, method, or computer-readable medium controls a potentially unacceptable software component intended for a software repository. A pre-defined application or repository policy associated with the repository or application pre-defines risks and, for each of the risks, an action to take for the risk. The action can be a pass action or a does-not-pass action, which are pre-defined programmatic steps also defined in the policy. When the component is not new to the repository or the application, the component is passed through for the usual handling. When the component is new, risks are determined that match the software component; for risks which match, the actions are taken as defined in the pre-defined policy. The pass action can include adding the software component to the software repository. The does-not-pass action is followed for a component that does not pass as a potentially unacceptable software component.
