  • Publication number: 20230025854
Abstract: The invention relates to a container (1) for holding a transplant object (2) and to a closure lid (4) and a vessel (3) for such a container (1). To facilitate an improved and reliable analysis and treatment of transplant objects (2), the intention being to implement particularly sparing handling, which is also protected against environmental influences, of the transplant object (2), it is proposed that the container (1) be transmissive for radiation that facilitates radiological imaging and/or a sterilization by means of ionizing radiation of the transplant object (2) held in the container (1) and that the closure lid (4) and/or the vessel (3) have one or more affixment structures (5) for fastening the transplant object (2) in the container (1). Moreover, a method and a system for providing three-dimensional structure data of a transplant object are proposed, by means of which the information obtained by the analysis is rendered better usable for medical staff.

  • Patent number: 11459749
Abstract: An improved fire blanket for use in expansion joints of buildings to retard the movement of fire and smoke. The invention permits movement of the joint without damaging or otherwise compromising the fire-retardant properties of the barrier. This movement may occur when the width of the joint changes due to expansion or contraction of the joint or when one side of the joint moves relative to the other along the length, or longitudinal axis, of the joint. The expansion and contraction introduce compressive and tensile loads and the relative movement along the length of the joint introduces shear loads. The invention prevents such compressive/tensile and shear loads from being introduced into the assembly and impacting its fire-retardant capabilities.

  • Publication number: 20220203085
Abstract: The invention relates to an intracorporeal guide component (1) for guiding lines belonging to medical devices inside a living being. The guide component (1) has a main body (2) comprising a line channel (3) for receiving and guiding the line. To secure the guide component (1) in the body of the living being more easily, with less damage to the tissue, according to the invention the main body (2) has, on its periphery, one or more contact surfaces (4, 4b) designed for interlocking and/or frictional contact with a bone structure of the living being. For example, the guide component (1) can be clamped between two costal arches of the living being, as an intercostal guide component (1), in order to securely hold and guide a line leading to the heart of the living being.

  • Patent number: 10292782
Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting device (100), which is equipped for fastening to a surgical instrument (200) or, by means of adapter (90; 91), to a body part (92), in particular a finger of a surgeon or of an operating room assistant, in order to serve as a light source during a surgical operation, in particular within a body cavity or organ cavity of genuine or traumatic origin and in other body regions that are difficult to access. At least one pin (20) pointing outward from the wall of the housing (10) is arranged on the housing (10) of the lighting device (100) in a wall area (30) directed toward the surgical instrument in the fastening position, which pin has a light emitting opening (40) at the distal end of the pin and is designed for passing through an opening (220) of the surgical instrument or of the adapter (90; 91) and thus establishing a form-closed or force-closed connection to the opening. The pin (20) is preferably movable in order to achieve optimal illumination of the operation site.

  • Patent number: 9710773
Abstract: Systems and methods that implement interactivity as part of a workflow itself. Data is passed in and out of the workflow to form an interactive workflow, via employing an interactive activity component. Such interactive activity component models suspension points within a workflow definition, wherein user input and associated interaction can be supplied to the workflow during various interactivity breaks that request user input. Such an arrangement enables a controlled/synchronous data exchange between the workflow and a host application associated therewith.

  • Patent number: 8594891
Abstract: A method is provided for vehicle steering using a steering actuation apparatus operable by the driver. The vehicle steering device has electromechanical control assemblies for this purpose for controlling a steerable wheel, located on the right and left on a vehicle body, of a wheel pair of at least one steerable vehicle axis. A central control unit compares target value specifications of the steering actuation apparatus to ESP specifications and actual values of the wheel positions of the steerable wheels and adapts electronic specifications of the steering stops for the steerable wheels to the operating situations of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8177245
Abstract: A suspension is provided for non-steered wheels on a motor vehicle body. The suspension includes, but is not limited to a twist-beam rear axle with a Watt linkage. A top rocker arm of the Watt linkage is mounted on the motor vehicle body. The Watt linkage prevents the motor vehicle from oversteering during cornering. The damping bushes can be disconnected in part from wheel-guiding functions as the Watt linkage performs a major part of the wheel guiding functions, which leaves some freedom for designing the characteristics so as to significantly increase motoring comfort.
