  • Patent number: 11958361
Abstract: A military vehicle includes an engine, an energy storage system, an accessory drive coupled to the engine and including an air compressor and a first motor, a second motor coupled to an axle, and a clutch positioned between the engine and the second motor. The clutch is spring-biased into engagement with the engine and pneumatically disengaged by an air supply selectively provided thereto based on operation of the air compressor. In an engine mode, (i) the clutch does not receive the air supply such that the engine is coupled to the second motor and (ii) the engine drives (a) the accessory drive and (b) the axle through the second motor. In the electric mode, (i) the first motor drives the air compressor to compress air to facilitate supplying the air supply to the clutch to disengage the clutch and decouple the engine from the second motor and (ii) the second motor drives the axle.

  • Publication number: 20130047634
Abstract: A cooling cube assembly for cooling a liquid contained within a beverage container. The cooling cube assembly includes a cooling element containing a cooling solution, and an insertion and extraction filament attached to the cooling element for inserting and extracting the cooling element from the liquid within the beverage. The insertion and extraction filament is an elongated flexible filament connected at a first end to the cooling element and at a second end to a tag for inserting and extracting the cooling element from the liquid within the beverage. The cooling element is inserted into the liquid to be cooled while the tag remains outside of the liquid. The cooling element is extracted from the liquid by pulling on the elongated filament with the tag after the liquid is cooled to a desired temperature.

  • Patent number: 7490314
Abstract: A user interface is provided that exposes items such as developer tasks, commands, property settings, and other related information to a user. The user interface may be invoked in a number of development interfaces such as, for example, a designer or an editor. The user interface may be either an object bound interface or an action triggered interface. An object bound interface exposes a set of items that are associated with a corresponding object. An action triggered interface exposes a set of items that are associated with a corresponding triggering action. In addition to enumerating developer tasks, the user interface may provide a direct link to other interfaces that facilitate task execution.

  • Publication number: 20080170658
Abstract: A system and method for increasing apparent axial sampling resolution include acquiring CT data from scans which are offset due to a scan subject motion. Thus, in certain embodiments, a first scan or gantry rotation may be performed, followed by a subject shift. A second scan or gantry rotation may then be performed to acquire overlapping data which is offset from the data of the first scan. The system and method may also be incorporated in helical scanning techniques. By increasing the number of axial samples, some embodiments provide for reduced aliasing artifacts and improved x-ray interlacing.

  • Publication number: 20070133747
Abstract: A technique is provided for efficient dose management and/or scatter reduction during imaging. The technique includes estimating attenuation level of different portions of an imaged object, and independently adjusting at least one of X-ray flux and X-ray energy spectrum from each of a plurality of emission points of a distributed X-ray source based on the attenuation level of different portions of the imaged object. The technique also includes acquiring two or more projection images of different portions of an entire field of view via the distributed X-ray source, removing respective scatter components from each of the two or more projection images, and combining the projection images less scatter components to generate a final projection image of the entire field of view.

  • Publication number: 20060085761
Abstract: A system that facilitates masked data entry in an edit control is provided. More particularly, the invention can include a mask engine component that facilitates determination of a valid character from an input of one or more characters with respect to a defined format. In other words, the mask engine can compare an input character to a predefined acceptable format. An interface component that facilitates employment of the mask engine with disparate types of edit controls is also provided. The subject invention can isolate masking functionality as a service that can be interfaced into any desired edit control. For example, the masking service can be interfaced into controls including, but not limited to, a text box, a combo box, a rich edit, a list view and a cell in a data grid or the like.

  • Publication number: 20060041877
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods that provide automatic generation of user interfaces via creation of a class-based model. A system is provided that facilitates generating a user interface. The system includes a class component to generally define properties and methods associated with one or more interface actions. A service component parses the class to automatically generate all or a portion of a user interface from the interface actions. Push and Pull-type models can be provided to facilitate merging of actions from various classes such as provided by third parties or from existing component developments.
