  • Publication number: 20190001381
Abstract: The present invention is a fume extraction swivel system for use on a gas shielded welding device. The fume extraction system includes an extraction hose mounting bracket which has an internal flange adapted to mount about a welding torch. The bracket has a collar spaced from the internal flange that defines an interior space. A packer is mounted in the flange and rotates upon a bearing mounted to the torch. A fume extraction port is in operative communication with the interior space. An intake shroud is mounted to the collar. The fume extraction port, interior space and shroud create an air-path through the extraction hose mounting bracket. In this way, the fume extraction system is connected to an air filter through the extraction port and the air filter draws air along said air-path through the interior space and the intake shroud without interfering with the gas shield welding operation. The swivel mount ensures that the extraction hose does not wrap around the torch.

  • Publication number: 20180326236
Abstract: The present invention is a spark arrestor and method of using. The spark arrestor has a first chamber defined by an outer housing. The outer housing has an intake and an exhaust. The first chamber has an internal second chamber. An internal housing defines the second chamber. The internal housing has an inlet and an outlet. The internal housing inlet has a plurality of openings in fluid communication with the first airflow path and the outlet is in operative communication with the exhaust. The outer housing and the internal housing are spaced apart to create a first airflow path. The internal housing creates a second airflow path in said second chamber. The intake pulls air with entrained particulates into the first airflow path and then it enters the inlets and flows about the second airflow path with any entrained particulates engaging the outer and internal housing.

  • Publication number: 20180318744
Abstract: A horizontal elongated industrial air filter having an elongated housing. The housing has a filter section with an intake and an exhaust. The housing has filter media in operative communication with the intake. Mounted adjacent the filter media is a blower to pull air into the intake through the filters and push the air out of the exhaust. Reverse pulse pipes extend through the interiors of the filter media to inject air through the filter to remove accumulated particulate. A hopper containment section extends below the filter housing section, and includes a plurality of spaced slots extending through its bottom to receive particulate ejected from said filter media. Connected to the hopper containment section is a vacuum channel to pull particulate in the hopper containment section through the slots. Mounted to the housing is a spark arrestor. The spark arrestor has an outer shell, an inlet and an inner duct with the outer shell spaced from the inner duct to define a tortuous path.

  • Publication number: 20170212357
Abstract: A minimum floor space air filter unit has an outer housing defined by side walls which has a height that is substantially larger than the base. A blower is mounted in the base. An elongated filter column is mounted in the housing. The blower is positioned below the elongated filter column to draw air with entrained particulate into an air inlet and through the elongated filter column for exiting the housing through an air outlet. Entrained particulate is captured on the exterior surface of the elongated filter column. At least one nozzle is positioned within the interior core of the elongated filter column to pulse air from the interior through the elongate filter media column to remove entrained particulate from the exterior surface.

  • Publication number: 20170028331
Abstract: An air filter system for use in industrial applications, particularly, in welding operations. The system has a fan for drawing air into a housing and an air outlet for exhausting air from the housing. At least one filter is mounted within the housing between the air inlet and the air outlet. Air is passed through the filter as it is drawn into the inlet and exhausted from the outlet to retain particulates entrained in the air. At least one air injector is mounted adjacent the filter to clean the filter by forcing air into the filter to remove the retained particulate from the filter. An onboard compressed air generator is mounted within the housing to supply compressed air to the air injector for injection into the filter.
