  • Publication number: 20090180035
Abstract: A receiver is provided for extracting a digitally encoded transport stream from a broadband signal containing a plurality of channels. The receiver includes an input for receiving the broadband signal and a tuner for selecting a selected channel from the broadband signal. The receiver also includes a filter arrangement having a high pass filter and a low pass filter selectively coupling the input to the tuner such that an unselected one of the filters is coupled to ground. A demodulator is provided for demodulating a digitally encoded transport stream from the selected channel.

  • Publication number: 20060026453
Abstract: The system and method of the present invention apply information filters (83A) hierarchically to information (14) such as, for example, alerts/events generated by an operational electronic system (10). Further, the system and method can display the results of the application of the information filters (83A) to information (14).

  • Publication number: 20050156685
Abstract: A system for reducing tilt effects in a radio frequency (RF) attenuator includes an RF attenuator having at least one series diode, and at least one shunt branch including at least one shunt diode, the shunt branch being electrically coupled to the series diode, and a parallel resonant circuit electrically coupled to each of the at least one shunt branch, wherein the parallel resonant circuit is configured to compensate for a parasitic reactance in the RF attenuator.

  • Publication number: 20050153656
Abstract: A temperature compensated variable tilt equalizer configured to operate over a defined frequency range. The equalizer includes an RF input, an automatic temperature compensation circuit and a manual alignment circuit. The RF input receives an RF signal having a wide passband. The automatic temperature compensation circuit has an adjustable compensation range used to correct temperature-related tilt variances that occur on the passband of the RF signal over the defined frequency range. The manual alignment circuit is used to manually adjust tilt of the passband of the RF signal over the defined frequency range at a normal temperature. The variable tilt equalizer does not require a power source other than the RF signal.

  • Patent number: 5806116
Abstract: An accessory has a fixed member and a rotatably supported and eccentrically mounted disk which are each inserted into a corresponding one of a pair of crescent-shaped indentations formed on a panel of a couch top. As the disk is rotated, its center moves towards the fixed member, causing the disk to press against the inner wall of the indentation and locking the accessory to the panel securely and repeatably.
