  • Publication number: 20120102080
Abstract: Provided is a computer system configured so that security compliance problems can be avoided and an access control model which can be uniquely customized can be implemented by extending the storage capacity to an external storage service by means of integrated management of an existing NAS(s) and the external storage service, and controlling the optimum data placement according to the confidentiality and importance level of data. In a computer system according to this invention, a local storage system includes an extended server for integrating a NAS(s) existing in the local storage system with an external storage service and thereby providing a client with a storage area as a single virtual NAS.

  • Publication number: 20110173215
Abstract: To provide a retrieval space map in which the ratio of unnecessary files included in the retrieval result can be decreased. One or more retrieval object spaces (retrieval objects) in which a file suitable for a retrieval purpose exists at high possibility are predefined according to the retrieval purpose under a condition containing a number of retrieval objects, and the space in which a necessary file exists at high possibility can be searched by designating the retrieval object to be suited for the retrieval purpose at the time of retrieval.

  • Publication number: 20090222415
Abstract: Method and system of evaluating overall risk of mismanagement of information contained in a file and its copies on a storage system. The method collects information about storage availability, accessibility, preservation and searchability of the data in each file. The method quantifies the collected information and allows a user to define risk criteria and assign risk values for each aspect of the collected information. The file risk of mismanagement of a specified data file is evaluated and compared against a threshold to determine whether or not the file is well-managed. If the file has copies, the file risk of mismanagement of each of the copies is also evaluated to obtain the risk of mismanagement of information in all of the copies. Copies with high risks of mismanagement may be discarded to lower the risk of mismanagement of the information. An administrator of a storage system may perform the method.

  • Publication number: 20070197534
Abstract: The present invention provides a simplified set of characteristics that can be used to select 1,2,4 benzotriazine 1,4 dioxide compounds (TPZ analogues) with therapeutic activity against hypoxic cells in human tumour xenografts, and to further provide a novel class of 1,2,4-benzotriazine-1,4-dioxides (TPZ analogues) with predicted in vivo activity against tumours, to their preparation, and to their use as hypoxia-selective cytotoxic drugs and radiosensitizers for cancer therapy, both alone or in combination with radiation and/or other anticancer drugs.

  • Publication number: 20070191372
Abstract: The present invention relates to DNA-targeted 1,2,4-benzotriazine-1,4-dioxides and related analogues, to their preparation, and to their use as hypoxia-selective drugs and radiosensitizers for cancer therapy, both alone or in combination with radiation and/or other anticancer drugs.

  • Publication number: 20060294116
Abstract: Search systems that perform a search or inquiry to find information elements that satisfy some searching criteria usually return some indication of these information elements in a form that can be viewed or accessed only within the search system itself. An improved system presents the information elements as files in a conventional file system so that the search results can be viewed or accessed by essentially any program or other facility that is capable of accessing conventional files.

  • Publication number: 20060066190
Abstract: The apparatus and methods reduce the force needed to open and close a drawer, as well as reduce noise generated by friction slide mechanisms when the drawer is opened and closed. A drawer slide mechanism includes a first elongated track, an elongated rail, and a low friction material. The rail is telescopically received by the track, by which a path of motion is defined for the rail. The rail remains at least partially received by the track along the entire path of motion of the rail. In addition, the low friction material is disposed between the track and the rail such that the low friction material remains at least partially disposed between the track and the rail throughout the entire path of motion.
