  • Publication number: 20250006437
Abstract: A device (1) for monitoring an on-load tap changer (2), comprising: —a motor drive (4); —a monitoring unit (11); and —a sensor (6) for acquiring an acoustic signal; wherein —the monitoring unit (11) determines a torque curve in the on-load tap changer (2) on the basis of a torque curve on the motor drive (4) and the acoustic signal of the sensor (6).

  • Publication number: 20240379271
Abstract: An on-load tap changer for a tapped transformer has a controller configured to actuate the on-load tap changer; and a storage unit. A method of operating the tap changer includes: carrying out a switching operation of the on-load tap changer by the controller; updating at least one data record stored in the storage unit depending on the switching operation carried out; checking on a basis of the updated data record whether a locking condition is met, by the controller; and blocking further switching operations based on determining that the locking condition is met, by the controller.

  • Publication number: 20220291296
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to a system (1) for monitoring at least one inductive operating means (TR). The inductive operating means (TR) is used in a power supply network. For this purpose, each inductive operating means is assigned a monitoring unit (2). Real-time data (22) relating to the current state of the inductive operating means (TR) can be stored in a data store (4) of the monitoring unit (2). An evaluation unit (6) of the monitoring unit (2) is communicatively connected to the data store (4). By means of the monitoring unit (2), a failure rate (FR) for the at least one inductive operating means (TR) is determined according to a state factor (CF).

  • Publication number: 20220176511
Abstract: A protection device for a power tool is provided. The power tool can be, in particular, a hand-held battery-operated power tool, such as a cut-off grinder. The power tool preferably has main components in a main region, such as a motor, transmission and rechargeable batteries, which are protected effectively from mechanical damage, e.g. when dropped, by the protection device. Moreover, the protection device prevents the transmission of vibrations in the power tool to the user. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a system which comprises a protection device and a power tool.

  • Patent number: 10048160
Abstract: A method is disclosed for diagnosing a valve assembly having valve members serially arranged along a flow channel of the valve assembly connecting at least one inlet and at least one outlet of the valve assembly. All of the serially arranged valve members of the valve assembly are opended to allow fluid to flow through the flow channel. The flow of fluid through the flow channel is measured by at least one sensor. At least one of the valve members is openend, and at least one sensor checks for fluid leakage caused by at least one faulted valve member. The at least one sensor may include a flow sensor, e.g., a mass flow sensor.

  • Publication number: 20120186003
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an energy-absorbing device comprising a first layer; a second layer; the second layer being opposedly disposed to the first layer and in slideablecommunication with the first layer; the first layer and the second layer enclosing a space therebetween; the space being filled with a fluid that has a power law exponent ? of at least about 1.3 when measured in half cell split Hopkinson bar using Equation (3) below: ? ? w ? ma ? ? x = ? ? [ U h ] n = ? ? ? . n ( 3 ) where |?w|max is a maximum shear stress, ? is a shear strain rate, U is a characteristic velocity of the striker wall, h is a thickness of the space, n is a power law dimensional factor that represents an energy dissipating property of the fluid.
