  • Publication number: 20240118535
Abstract: A tunable lens including a pair of reflectors is disclosed. At least one of the reflectors may be curved for contributing to the focusing or defocusing power of the lens. At least one of the reflectors is translatable for tuning the focusing/defocusing power. The reflectors may be configured in a pancake lens configuration where one of the reflectors is a 50/50 reflector and the other is a polarization selective reflector. Refractive elements may be disposed between the reflectors for providing more optical power to the lens, and/or for balancing optical aberrations.

  • Publication number: 20240036328
Abstract: A display system may include a diffuser having a curved surface, a display device positioned to emit light that is focused on the curved surface of the diffuser, at least one viewing optic, and an eye box. The light focused on the curved surface of the diffuser may have a first cone angle and is diffused by the diffuser such that light output from the diffuser has a second cone angle, the second cone angle being larger than the first cone angle. Additionally, the light output from the diffuser may propagate through the at least one viewing optic to the eye box. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230239356
Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for interaction controls in artificial reality. Various aspects may include determining at least one element corresponding to a user device for accessing a shared artificial reality environment. Aspects may also include determining at least one artificial reality setting associated with the shared artificial reality environment. Aspects may include receiving an indication of a permission event associated with a permitted user or a temporal parameter. Aspects may include determining whether to enable or disable the at least one element or at least one artificial reality setting based on the permission event. The aspect may also include sending content to the user device based on the permission event.

  • Publication number: 20060122808
Abstract: A system for analyzing steam trap data includes a steam trap monitoring device operable to monitor a parameter of a steam trap, transform the parameter into data, and transmit the data to a computer; and includes a computer operable to receive the data, the computer including an algorithm for evaluating the data. A method of analyzing steam trap data includes the steps of: providing a steam trap monitoring device operable to monitor a parameter of a steam trap, transform the parameter into data, and transmit data to a computer, and providing a computer operable to receive the data, the computer including an algorithm for evaluating the data; using the steam trap monitoring device to monitor a parameter of a steam trap, transform the parameter into data, and transmit the data to the computer; and using the computer to receive the data, and evaluate the data with the algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20060118648
Abstract: An apparatus and method for monitoring the status of a steam trap include a device for sensing a process condition of the steam trap and a device for processing the sensed condition. The apparatus can include a processor positioned on a steam trap. The connection of the monitoring device to the steam trap can be to the trap itself or to an adjacent pipe or other apparatus.
