  • Publication number: 20240117514
Abstract: A method of operating an electrolyzer system, including an alkali lye circulating in the system, whereby a lye-related property is determined and further process control is subject to possible change in dependency of an evaluation of the determined property. The property includes the lye concentration which is in particular automatically detected and a lye refilling operation is in particular effected automatically in dependency of the detected concentration, and/or the property includes at least one visually inspectable parameter of the lye and/or lye flow, which is, in particular automatically and in particular during operation of the electrolyzer, detected by visual inspection of the lye/lye flow. An operation condition of the electrolyzer system is determined on the basis of the evaluation.

  • Publication number: 20220063601
Abstract: A method for evaluating measurement data that are obtained by a plurality of sensors. The method includes: the measurement data originating from sensors of a first group are processed by a function evaluation module to form a function signal that, when it is supplied to a driving dynamics system of a vehicle, causes the driving dynamics system to carry out a driving task; the measurement data originating from a second group of sensors are processed by at least a first safety evaluation module to form a first safety signal that, when it is supplied to the driving dynamics system, causes the driving dynamics system to prevent a specified undesired event of the vehicle, the second group containing a proper subset of the first group; the function signal is aggregated with the first safety signal to form a control signal that is capable of being outputted to the driving dynamics system.

  • Patent number: 9476744
Abstract: An orifice plate assembly for use with a process variable transmitter for measuring flow of a process fluid includes a single piece body having a circumferential support ring. A first face of the circumferential support ring is configured to be sealingly coupled to a first flange of a first process pipe. A second face of the circumferential support ring is configured to be sealingly coupled to a second flange of a second process pipe. A flow plate region is positioned between the first and second pipes and has first and second sides. The flow plate region is concentric with the circumferential support ring. At least one flow orifice in the flow plate region provides a restricted fluid path between the first and second process pipes. A first pressure tap is configured to fluidically couple to the process variable transmitter to the process fluid proximate the first side of the flow plate region.

  • Patent number: 8018351
Abstract: A method providing assistance during the parking maneuver of a vehicle into a parking space situated laterally to the vehicle to be parked, an erroneous length of the parking space being detected with the aid of a sensor system of the vehicle while the vehicle drives past the parking space on a curved trajectory. To determine the actual length of the parking space, a trajectory of the vehicle differing from a straight trajectory of the vehicle is additionally detected while driving past the parking space, for example, on the basis of the steering angle of the vehicle, and a correction value for the detected length of the parking space is ascertained therefrom. The actual length of the parking space is determined with a high degree of accuracy without the need for other measured values to be detected, for example, the orientation of parked vehicles or the depth of the parking space.

  • Publication number: 20100332078
Abstract: In a method for operating a parking aid system for a vehicle having a plurality of distance sensors each sensing the near range of the vehicle, and having at least one path sensor sensing a path traveled by the vehicle, the distance sensors are operable in a first mode for the parking space measurement, and the distance sensors are operable in at least one further mode in which they are used as parking aid in order to avoid collisions. The distance sensors are temporally activated using different transmit sequences in the two modes, a switchover between the different transmit sequences being implemented as a function of the movement of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20100332706
Abstract: A sensor transmitter device for transmitting the payload data of a sensor to a bus control device is described, the sensor transmitter device being connectable to a data bus of a vehicle, which is configured for simultaneous transmission of bus data packets between a plurality of sensor transmitter devices and a bus control device. The bus data packets should include at least one signaling field and one payload data field having a plurality of payload data blocks. The sensor transmitter device includes a sensor interface for receiving payload data which represent a physical variable and a memory which is configured for storing position information which identifies at least one payload data block from the payload data field, which is reserved exclusively for the transmission of payload data from the sensor transmitter device to the bus control device.

  • Patent number: 7155351
Abstract: A method for checking a microprocessor for correct operation, the microprocessor having a plurality of gates, each having a plurality of transistors, in which during the intended running of a computer program on the microprocessor a self-test is cyclically executed, and as part of the self-test, gates in the microprocessor are checked for correct operation. In order to check the microprocessor for correct operation in such a way that the functional check is able to detect at an early stage such errors which occur only during the intended operation of the microprocessor, and to the extent possible not to make use of models of the open-loop or closed-loop control algorithms, at least those gates of the microprocessor whose state has an impact on the intended running of the computer program on the microprocessor are checked during one run of the self-test.
