  • Publication number: 20240134901
Abstract: A method and system for coding of a media “genome” employs machine learning models for social tagging of media titles. A media genome is a detailed description of the intrinsic elements that make up a piece of content; it is a comprehensive taxonomy that considers every impactful dimension of a film, TV episode, video short, video game, or other media title. The genome may be used by filmmakers to better understand their content, as well as that of competitors. It may also be used by entertainment marketers to better target their marketing budget for specific audiences, and by brands to determine which televisions programs and films they wish to advertise around or sponsor placements in.

  • Patent number: 11967436
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for predicting an association between input data in a first modality and data in a second modality using a statistical model trained to represent interactions between data having a plurality of modalities including the first modality and the second modality, the statistical model comprising a plurality of encoders and decoders, each of which is trained to process data for one of the plurality of modalities, and a joint-modality representation coupling the plurality of encoders and decoders. The method comprises selecting, based on the first modality and the second modality, an encoder/decoder pair or a pair of encoders, from among the plurality of encoders and decoders, and processing the input data with the joint-modality representation and the selected encoder/decoder pair or pair of encoders to predict the association between the input data and the data in the second modality.

  • Patent number: 11966702
Abstract: This is a system for sentiment analysis and misinformation detection for text transcriptions of conversations and statement. More particularly, this is a software system that uses neural network, machine learning (ML) models, which have been trained solely on text sourced from the internet, for the classification of the sentiment and risk of misinformation conveyed through a piece of text as it relates to a specified subject matter. Such a system typically is used on digital communication platforms, such as social media sites, to enable the determination of public opinion and perception in order to provide competitive intelligence for decision-making.

  • Patent number: 11961272
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for using a surfel map to generate long range localization. One of the methods includes obtaining, for a particular location of a vehicle having a camera and a detection sensor, surfel data including a plurality of surfels. Each surfel in the surfel data has a respective location and corresponds to a different respective detected surface in an environment. Image data captured by the camera is obtained. It is determined that a region of interest for detecting objects for a vehicle planning process is outside a detectable region for the detection sensor. In response, it is determined that the image data for the region of interest matches surfel color data for the surfels corresponding to the region of interest. In response, the vehicle planning process is performed with the region of interest designated as having no unexpected objects.

  • Patent number: 11911561
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an aerosol production assembly. The aerosol production assembly may include a reservoir that contains an aerosol precursor composition and an atomizer that receives the aerosol precursor composition from the reservoir and heats the aerosol precursor composition to produce an aerosol. The aerosol production assembly may additionally include a body that directs the aerosol through an outlet. The body may include a surface including a micro-pattern that defines at least one of hydrophobic and anti-microbial properties. The surface including the micro-pattern may not include a chemical coating that provides these properties. Rather, the surface may define a three-dimensional structure that provides hydrophobic and/or anti-microbial properties. A related assembly method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11591862
Abstract: An improved external trap apparatus 570 and a method for safely controlling drilling tool string components during oil field drilling operations includes a collar clamp 72 affixed to a drilling tool string lubricator 80 and configured with laterally spaced first and second vertical rails 120, 122 depending therefrom. Lubricator 80 also carries a lubricator clamp assembly 572 which is affixed to Lubricator 80 with inward clamping surfaces defining a non-circular or slightly elliptical central bore 574. Laterally spaced first and second vertical rails 120, 122 are configured to support a reinforced catcher plate assembly 164 carrying a tool-end receiving funnel receptacle 202 and first and second energy absorbing crush cylinders 160, 162. When the drill string 82 is raised or withdrawn from the well 28, the funnel receptacle 202 can be rotated into coaxial alignment to catch the drill string's end or downhole tool, in the event of an inadvertent loss of control of the drill string 82.

  • Publication number: 20220379153
Abstract: A force assistance system for an exercise machine assists a user during a first portion of a lift. The force assistance system provides an assistance force at the beginning of a lift to help the user perform the lift. The assistance force reduces the amount of force the user must provide to start the lift. The assistance force helps the user exercise using higher weights for better muscle development. The force assistance system for the exercise machine generally includes an upper member, a lower member and at least one resilient member positioned between the upper member and the lower member. The upper member, the lower member and the at least one resilient member are adapted to be positioned between a frame and a movable arm of the exercise machine. The at least one resilient member applies the assistance force in an upward direction to the movable arm to help the user move the movable arm during a first portion of a lift.
