  • Publication number: 20060052842
Abstract: A system for accessing implantable medical device (IMD) data is provided including an interrogation appliance to retrieve data from an IMD and transfer the data to a processor. The processor converts the device data to a viewable form that is transferred by the processor to a data destination. The data destination may be an electronic mail address, a secure web site, a facsimile number or the interrogation appliance. The data is presented in a viewable form at the data destination either on a display or by printing. Any number of interrogation appliances may be communicatively coupled to the processor for converting IMD data and providing the IMD data back to a data destination in a viewable form for use by a clinician.

  • Publication number: 20050231586
Abstract: A conference link between devices in teleconference system at one site is disclosed. The linked devices include video conference units, speakerphones or stand-alone loudspeakers. Audio data can be transmitted through the conference link between devices. Audio data processing can be performed in either a video conference unit or a speakerphone. The microphones and loudspeakers in the video conference unit may be eliminated. The microphones and loudspeakers in the speakerphone are used. Other data, for example directories of dialing information, may also be transmitted through the conference link and the data processing may be allocated among processors in devices connected by conference links. The conference link may be wired or wireless, analog or digital. The devices may be linked by conference link in parallel or series. A dialing program can adapt the dialing stream with the locations of the near end site and the dialed far end site.

  • Publication number: 20050125304
Abstract: Drawing conversion assignment and management systems are provided that typically include receiving logic, a database, assignment logic, and completion logic. The receiving logic typically receives notification of completion of a land base drawing file. The database creates a drawing conversion job record associated with the land base drawing file. The assignment logic assigns the drawing conversion job record to a draftsman and instructs the database to record the assignment. The completion logic typically receives a request to close the drawing conversion job record, and instructs the database to mark the drawing conversion job record as closed. Methods and other systems are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050125303
Abstract: Split plat assignment and management systems are provided that typically include receiving logic, a database, assignment logic, and completion logic. The receiving logic typically receives a request from a user to split a plat. The request can include information about a location of a congested plat. The database stores the request with any previously received open requests. The assignment logic prioritizes requests, assigns an open request to a draftsman, and instructs the database to record the assignment. The completion logic typically instructs the database to close an open request responsive to an input from the draftsman. Other systems and methods are further provided.

  • Publication number: 20050123252
Abstract: Fiber splice assignment and management systems are provided that include a database, assignment logic, and completion logic. The database can typically store a fiber splice record associated with a wirecenter. The assignment logic assigns a fiber splice record associated with a fiber splice job for the wirecenter to a draftsman and records the assignment. The completion logic typically receives a request to close the fiber splice record, and receives a credit amount associated with the fiber splice job from a fiber splice manager. Methods and other systems are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6522422
Abstract: A computer controlled sheet-fed offset printing machine is described which includes an Interpreter-program for obtaining an image of the signal-state of specified interfaces of the many interfaces that are needed for the operation of the computerized printing press. The Interpreter-program has access to a reserved region of memory for storing and manipulating, if desired, the image of the signal-state. Furthermore, the Interpreter-program has very limited and defined access to the inputs and resources used by the control programs used to operate the computerized printing press. This ensures that the control programs can execute in real-time unaffected by the execution of the Interpreter-program while data is acquired by the Interpreter-program while the computerized printing press is in operation. The Interpreter-program can execute diagnostic routines and provide data for detecting and correcting errors that are otherwise hard to localize in a complex system with complex software.

  • Patent number: 5953991
Abstract: A cylinder for a printing press is adjusted away from a printing stock web or an adjacent cylinder by rotation of an eccentric element. The change in position caused by the movement of the eccentric element is compensated by an additional rotating movement superposed on the rotating movement of the cylinder such that the outer surface of the cylinder has no relative velocity relative to the adjacent cylinder or the printing stock web. Compensation is carried out by a regulating circuit to which is supplied the actual rotational angle of the cylinder with respect to the eccentric element and the actual rotational angle of the eccentric element with respect to the side wall or an angular function derived therefrom.
