  • Publication number: 20260100972
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for link-specific device identification. An identifier node may provide an identifier of a first node to at least one other node of a communication channel. The communication channel may be composed of multiple links and different links of the same communication channel may have different link-specific information. For example, mutual transport layer security (mTLS) assumes endpoint-to-endpoint encryption, and IEEE 2030.5 assumes client-server endpoints. However, a firewall may introduce a termination point for the control path information (packet routing addresses, etc.) but does not affect the data path (network socket information, etc.). The identifier node performs device identification based on the certificates associated with a link, before link termination. This link-specific identification may then be used by the IEEE 2030.5 server (instead of link-specific identification for the firewall).

  • Patent number: 12055327
Abstract: A controller for a refrigeration system includes a processing circuit having one or more processors and memory. The processing circuit is configured to calculate a superheat of a gas refrigerant exiting a first side of a subcooler based on a measured temperature and a measured pressure of the gas refrigerant and compare the calculated superheat to a superheat threshold. In response to a determination that the calculated superheat is less than the superheat threshold, the processing circuit closes an expansion valve to restrict a flow of the gas refrigerant through a second side of the subcooler. In response to a determination that the calculated superheat is equal to or greater than the superheat threshold, the processing circuit operates the expansion valve to drive a temperature of a subcooled liquid refrigerant exiting the second side of the subcooler to a subcooled liquid temperature setpoint.

  • Publication number: 20220221556
Abstract: A laser scanner determines the direction and distance of one or more targets by emitting two substantially parallel beams and receiving respective return beams. Components for handling the received beams are affixed to a monolithic block to ensure fixed relative placement. The direction of the target is determined using an optical encoder to reduce the timing window for interpolation to a fraction of the time it takes for the scanner to make a full revolution. A detection algorithm adapts detection thresholds for the different signatures of return signals depending on the distance to the target. Distance calculations are also adjusted for thermal expansion of the scanner components by including a temperature-variant thermometer output signal in the distance calculation algorithm. Target location and orientation information is used to adjust the location of ADAS calibration targets and perform the ADAS calibration process.

  • Patent number: 11243016
Abstract: A refrigeration system includes a subcooler configured to provide subcooling for a liquid refrigerant flowing through a first side of the subcooler by transferring heat from the liquid refrigerant to a gas refrigerant flowing through a second side of the subcooler. An expansion valve is located at an inlet of the second side of the subcooler and configured to control a flow of the gas refrigerant through the second side of the subcooler. A gas temperature sensor and a gas pressure sensor are configured to measure a temperature and pressure of the gas refrigerant. A liquid temperature sensor is configured to measure a temperature of the subcooled liquid refrigerant. A controller is configured to calculate a superheat of the gas refrigerant based on the measured temperature and measured pressure of the gas refrigerant and may compare the calculated superheat to a superheat threshold. If the calculated superheat is less than the superheat threshold, the controller may close the expansion valve.

  • Patent number: 11215662
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for mitigating damage to voltage regulator (VR) circuitry of a packaged device. In an embodiment, the VR circuitry comprises a circuit leg between a first node and a second node. During a burn-in process, the VR circuitry provides a regulated output voltage to a load circuit via the first node, wherein the output voltage is based on a supply voltage received via the second node. While the VR circuitry provides the regulated output voltage to the load circuit, a supply current is provided to the load circuit via a path which is independent of any leg which is between the first node and the second node. In another embodiment, an integrated circuit (IC) chip of the packaged device comprises the load circuit, and the leg further comprises an off-chip coil structure which is distinct from the IC chip.
