  • Patent number: 10688284
Abstract: A steerable endoscopic tool uses concentric sleeves of varying curvature to steer a tool tip toward or in the direction of a location of surgical interest. By rotating and/or axially displacing such sleeves relative to one another the tool tip may be maneuvered within a current field of view with several degrees of freedom without any physical movement of an endoscope, thus facilitating improved surgical access and control without complex mechanical systems in the endoscope or at the surgical site.

  • Publication number: 20200168970
Abstract: A receiver or transmitter designed for a broad range of frequencies requires a pre-select filter for incoming signals or a post-select filter for outgoing signals to minimize spurious signal responses. In conventional receivers, several discrete RF filters are used and a switched filter bank is created utilizing a large amount of space. A filter bank comprising a plurality of stacked shielded filters would enable different filter technologies and topologies to be used together, as other passive and active circuits may be combined into the one surface mountable component in order to save on PCB space.

  • Patent number: 10553177
Abstract: The present disclosure provides devices and techniques for dynamically adjusting the bias voltage (V) levels (e.g., low level gate voltage (VGL) and high level gate voltage (VGH)) for display screens made with thin-film transistor (TFT) technology based on a display run time. Thus, as the positive bias temperature stress for the TFTs increases over the course of the display lifetime, features of the present disclosure adjust the bias voltage levels to maintain operation margin (e.g., the ratio between the high level gate voltage (VGH) value and the voltage value which the display can maintain with normal operation). By dynamically adjusting the bias voltage levels, the TFT displays of the present disclosure consume lower power than their conventional counterparts and improve the lifetime of the display itself.

  • Publication number: 20200004798
Abstract: Embodiments as disclosed provide improved RPA systems and methods that utilize a set of reusable modules. These modules may include an associated set of configurable parameters and be associated with instructions for a browser automation platform. An RPA application to accomplish a task at a target website is built using these modules. The RPA application may be executed at the RPA system using an instance of a browser. The RPA application can be executed by evaluating an identified module of the RPA application based on the configuration parameters to determine instructions for a browser automation platform for the identified module. These browser automation platform instructions can then be provided to the browser automation platform to execute against the browser instance.

  • Publication number: 20200003829
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for mitigating damage to voltage regulator (VR) circuitry of a packaged device. In an embodiment, the VR circuitry comprises a circuit leg between a first node and a second node. During a burn-in process, the VR circuitry provides a regulated output voltage to a load circuit via the first node, wherein the output voltage is based on a supply voltage received via the second node. While the VR circuitry provides the regulated output voltage to the load circuit, a supply current is provided to the load circuit via a path which is independent of any leg which is between the first node and the second node. In another embodiment, an integrated circuit (IC) chip of the packaged device comprises the load circuit, and the leg further comprises an off-chip coil structure which is distinct from the IC chip.
