  • Patent number: 10260176
Abstract: Heddle for a harness of a Jacquard weaving loom having two strands (32, 34) each equipped at a first end with a member for hooking-up the heddle to an element 10 of the harness, as well as a link (30) with an eyelet (36) for guiding a warp thread, this eyelet (36) being positioned, along a longitudinal axis (XI0) of the heddle, between both strands (32, 34). The link (30) is in a synthetic material and has two branches (52, 54) positioned on either side of the eyelet (36) along the longitudinal axis (XI0). A portion (522, 542) of each branch (52, 54) is over-molded on a second end (324, 344) of a strand (32, 34) opposite to its first end and shifted longitudinally from the eyelet (36). Further, each branch (52, 54) of the link completely surrounds the second end (324, 344) of the corresponding strand (32, 34).

  • Patent number: 7469723
Abstract: This process includes steps consisting in manufacturing an eyelet for guiding a warp yarn, making, in a threadlike element, an opening for receiving the eyelet, and placing and immobilizing the eyelet in the opening. During manufacture of the eyelet at least two projecting tabs offset from each other along its edge and perpendicularly to the principal faces of this eyelet are formed on this outer edge. During the placement of the eyelet in the opening, a part of the edge of the opening is inserted between the tabs. As a variant, the tabs can be provided on the edge of the opening.

  • Patent number: 7398799
Abstract: A device for hooking a heddle of a weaving loom of the Jacquard type to a harness cord of the loom that includes an endpiece molded on an upper end of the heddle. The endpiece including an aperture for the passage and wedging of the cord and a housing for receiving two strands of the cord. The device also includes a rigid sleeve reciprocally slidably mounted on the endpiece between a first position, in which it allows access to the aperture, and a second position, in which it covers the aperture and exerts a compressive force for constricting the aperture and blocking access to the lower end of the cord. The device may also be used for hooking one or more cords on a string.

  • Publication number: 20070017592
Abstract: This device is used for hooking a heddle of a weaving loom of the Jacquard type together with a cord belonging to the harness of the loom. It comprises an endpiece injection-moulded on the upper end of the heddle and forming an aperture for the passage and wedging of the cord and a housing for receiving the two strands of the cord. It likewise comprises a rigid sleeve mounted on the endpiece and movable in translational motion on this endpiece between a first position, in which it allows access to the aperture, and a second position, in which it covers the aperture and exerts a centripetal force for constricting the aperture and the housing, thus making it possible to block the lower end of the cord. Such a device may also be used for hooking one or more cords on a string.

  • Patent number: 5996648
Abstract: A three position weaving system selection device which includes two superposed electromagnets each of which cooperates with a magnetic armature of one of a pair of pivoting levers so as to control the engagement of a projection of each lever with a movable hook of a pair of hooks which are normally displaced by a knife associated with a Jacquard harness.

  • Patent number: 5862836
Abstract: Shed-forming devices for weaving mechanisms which create three positions of the warp threads in a Jacquard loom. The shed-forming devices include moveable spindle catches capable of being vertically displaced by knives driven in oppositely reciprocally oscillating motion. Each shed-forming device includes four moveable spindle catches which are adapted to be displaced in pairs by the knives. A first spindle catch of each pair is adapted to be supported by a second spindle catch of each pair. Each shed-forming device also includes five pulleys which are vertically aligned and are connected to the catches by funicular elements such that the five pulleys may be separated from each other in a variable manner depending upon the position of the four spindle catches.
