  • Publication number: 20020171418
Abstract: Arrangement for determining a position, an angle and/or a rotational speed by means of a sensor (1), which has at least one sensor full bridge with two half bridges (3, 4), and by means of an encoder (2; 11) with laterally alternating magnet poles, a sinusoidal magnetic field running through the sensor (1) in the event of a relative movement between the sensor (1) and encoder (2; 11) such that the two half bridges (3, 4) of the sensor (1) each supply a sinusoidal sensor signal (V1, V2), and a sum signal (SUM) and a difference signal (DIFF) being obtained from these signals by means of forming sums and differences, respectively, which are evaluated in order to determine a position, an angle and/or a rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 6140133
Abstract: Provision is made, in a device and a process for the synthesis of macromolecules, for reagent solutions to be conveyed through reaction channels (15) which are connected to one another by intermediate channels (16, 17) and are preferably aligned parallel to one another, the reaction channels (15) being so displaced between individual synthesis steps relative to the carrier material acted on by the reagent solutions that, in the new position, the reaction channels (15) cover different synthesis zones from those in the previous position. In that manner provision is made for the synthesis of a large number of different sequences by relatively few synthesis steps.

  • Patent number: 5492461
Abstract: A flooded compressor system has a compressor unit (10) with intermeshing rotors and a separator (12) for retaining a volume of liquid. The separator (12) is arranged to receive compressed gas and liquid discharged from the compressor unit (10) through an outlet (17) and is formed solely by a single length of pipe of substantially uniform cross section which has a first substantially horizontal portion (19) to retain a liquid pool (18) and a second elevated portion (23) connected to the first portion by a bend in the pipe. A compressed gas outlet (25) leads from the second elevated portion to a separate filter element (14), and a liquid filter element (30) is mounted from, and communicates directly with the first horizontal portion of the pipe.
