    Abstract: A wrenchless clamp assembly is provided to secure a tool disc, such as a circular saw blade, to a shaft of a power tool. The blade clamp assembly includes an outer flange positionable against an outer side of the blade and a manually tightenable click bolt that includes a movable click member operable to selectively engage the outer flange for rotationally locking or unlocking the bolt. In an embodiment, the click member moves alternatingly between axially engaged and disengaged positions according to sequential rotational increments of the click member relative to the bolt body. Accordingly, the click bolt can be installed by hand and rotationally locked without a need for high torque, and the click bolt can be easily removed by hand when the click member is moved to the disengaged position, axially free from the outer flange. In an embodiment, the click bolt permits limited torque applied during installation.

    Abstract: A wedging clamp assembly is provided for retaining a saw blade. A housing defining a vertical cavity therein is included in the assembly. The cavity includes a top end and a bottom end tapered with respect to the top end. Extending through a bottom end of the housing is a saw blade passageway included in the bottom end of the cavity. Disposed inside the cavity is a saw blade retention mechanism. A piston is further disposed within the cavity. The saw blade retention mechanism is configured for lockingly retaining a saw blade upon insertion into the passageway, thus, causing the piston to be biased against the bottom end of the cavity. At least one locking element is further included in the saw blade retention mechanism, and such locking element is disposed in the cavity for engaging the bottom tapered end. A wedging clamping force exerted by the at least one locking element is applied to the saw blade, and such force renders the saw blade immobile relative to the housing.

    Abstract: An electric door opening mechanism is disclosed which is operable in either a fail safe and a fail secure mode. The electric door opening mechanism comprises a housing having a cutout portion with an opening adapted to receive a bolt of a door. At least one keeper arm is pivotally mounted to the housing. The keeper arm has a locked position occluding the opening and an open position which allows the bolt to be inserted and withdrawn from the opening. A transmission lever pivotally mounted to the housing releasably engages each keeper arm. When the keeper arm and the transmission lever are engaged, the transmission lever holds the keeper arm in the locked position. A release lever pivotally mounted to the housing is adapted to engage the transmission lever. The release lever has three positions, a first unlocked position, a second locked position and a third unlocked position. When the release lever is in the locked position, it holds the transmission lever in engagement with the keeper arm.
