  • Patent number: 8403397
Abstract: An adjustable tailgate support contains a fixed inner tube, which is connected to a lower housing part and on which is arranged a spiral spring. The spiral spring on the one hand is supported at the lower end on a setting element held on the inner tube and, on the other hand, is held fixed at a remote, upper, free end in the upper housing part. An increase or reduction in the spring force of the spiral spring can be set by turning the setting element, which has a supporting ring, on an external thread of the fixed inner tube.

  • Patent number: 8362718
Abstract: A device for operating a closing part, driven by a drive, on a device of transportation contains a control apparatus which is assigned to the drive and is configured to actuate the drive in order to initiate a measure which is opposed to the movement of the closing part. The drive is embodied as an electric or electromechanical drive. The drive can be actuated by the control apparatus in such a way that the drive becomes active in a braking fashion with respect to the movement of the closing part.

  • Publication number: 20080185868
Abstract: A process for actuating a vehicle door of a motor vehicle includes the steps of automatically closing the vehicle door of the motor vehicle by a drive at a specified closing speed upon initiation of a closing command and performing a check to verify that the vehicle door is properly closed at an end of a closing process with the specified closing speed. If it is determined that the vehicle door is properly closed, the specified closing speed remains unchanged for at least one subsequent closing process. If it is determined that the vehicle door is not properly closed, the specified closing speed is increased for at least one subsequent closing process.

  • Patent number: 6598912
Abstract: The actuating device for a hood should be designed in such a way that an actuation from the outside for misuse is not possible. For this purpose, the actuating device is equipped with a handle, in which a locking sensing device and a catch element, which is connected with a Bowden cable, are arranged. By pressing the locking sensing device in the direction of the catch element is created a rigid connection between the locking sensing device and the catch element. For this purpose, the actuating sensing device is equipped with a catch nose and the catch element with a catch recess.
