Abstract: One method for joining a tube to a member includes obtaining a tube and obtaining a member having a surface groove. The tube is relatively positioned with respect to the member to completely cover the surface groove without the tube entering the surface groove, wherein the tube is in direct contact with the member and/or is in indirect contact with the member through an intervening joining material. A resistance welding/brazing current path is created through the tube and the member creating a weld/braze zone which includes at least some of the tube and at least some of the member and which fills in at least some of the surface groove. During the resistance welding/brazing path creation, a force is applied to relatively move the tube deformingly against the member. Another method describes the tube having the surface groove which is to be completely covered by the member.
