Abstract: Systems and methods for generating future revenue from real property are provided. An example method includes (i) establishing a residual right associated with a real property and (ii) at a later time, determining whether a fee associated with the residual right is due. The establishing step may include (a) identifying at least one characteristic associated with the real property, where the at least one characteristic is capable of providing a benefit to the real property, and (b) reserving the residual right in the real property as a function of the at least one characteristic. The fee determination step may include (a) identifying a reservation of a residual right affecting the real property, where the residual right is associated with at least one characteristic capable of providing a benefit to the real property, and (b) determining whether the fee is payable as a function of the at least one characteristic.

Abstract: This patent document discloses systems and methods for generating additional revenue by facilitating real property transfers or the financing of real property. One example method includes facilitating a sale of a real property by securing a reservation of a residual right in the real property. Because of the reservation, a seller may sell the real property to a buyer below a price desired by the seller. Another example method includes providing financing for a real property and securing a reservation of a residual right in the real property. The financing may represent a loan provided to a purchaser or owner of the real property. Because of the reservation, the loan may be provided with a lower interest rate and lower up-front fees. The residual right entitles a party associated with the residual right to receive one or more future payments after the sale or financing for the real property occurs.

Abstract: A computing or communication system may provide an “issued back” password to a user who is authorized to access the computing or communication system. The issued back password may be used by the user to verify that communications with the computing or communication system are legitimate. For example, the issued back password could be included in electronic mail or text messages originating from the computing or communication system or an entity associated with the computing or communication system. The issued back password could also be provided to the user when the user is logging into the computing or communication system. In another technique, biometric, photographic, audio, video, or graphical information is provided to a computing or communication system by a user during authentication.
