Publication number: 20240105045Abstract: A system and a process enable a workplace (A.1, A.2) to be monitored remotely. A monitoring unit for the workplace includes a camera (2.1, 2.2, 2.3), a gas measuring device (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) and a workplace computer (3.1, 3.2). A communication unit (10) communicates with a control center with a central output computer and an output unit. Signals from the camera and the gas measuring device are transmitted by cable or wirelessly to the workplace computer and from there further transmitted by cable or wirelessly to the communication unit. The signals are transmitted wirelessly from the communication unit to the central output computer. The central output computer causes the received signals to be output on the output unit in a form that can be perceived by a human. The data connection between the communication unit and the central output computer may be routed via a public mobile radio network.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Thielo HAMMER, Simon HELBIG, Jürgen LANGER, Michael KREILMEIER, Georg PIEWALD, Mohamed IBRAHIM

Publication number: 20150049883Abstract: An amplifier, such as a vacuum tube guitar amplifier, including a configurable preamplifier, power amplifier and/or power supply. Configuration of sections of the amplifier can be controlled by software, which can be updated directly on the amplifier though an editing interface, by downloading new configuration data from an external device or network, or by updating hardware-based cards or daughter-boards. The amplifier can store multiple circuit designs, and give users access to designs on demand, along with associated potentiometer and switch settings stored in ‘patches’, as well as allow real-time control over potentiometer settings via the amplifier's user interface, or external control via a communications interface. Global settings can also be configured to take into account factors such as type and rating of vacuum tubes. The same methodology can be applied to stand-alone preamplifiers or power amplifiers, solid state amplifiers, preamplifiers or power amplifiers.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2013Publication date: February 19, 2015Inventor: Michael Ibrahim

Publication number: 20070025546Abstract: A method and apparatus for DTMF detection and voice mixing in the code-excited linear prediction (CELP) parameter space, without fully decoding and reconstructing the speech signal. The apparatus includes a Dual Tone Multiplexed Frequency (DTMF) signal detection module and a multi-input mixing module. The DTMF signal detection module detects DTMF signals by computing characteristic features from the input CELP parameters and comparing them with known features of DTMF signals. The multi-input mixing module mixes multiple sets of input CELP parameters, that represent multiple voice signals, into a single set of CELP parameters. The mixing computation is performed by analyzing each set of input CELP parameters, determining the order of importance of the input sets, selecting a strategy for mixing the CELP parameters, and outputting the mixed CELP parameters.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2006Publication date: February 1, 2007Applicants: Dilithium Networks Pty Ltd., Macchina Pty Ltd.Inventors: Marwan Jabri, Jianwei Wang, Sameh Georgy, Michael Ibrahim
