  • Patent number: 11919526
Abstract: Techniques are discussed herein for detecting and measuring faults within vehicle drive systems. In various implementations, actuator feedback monitors and/or vehicle performance monitors are used individually or in combination to determine faults within acceleration systems, braking systems, and/or steering systems of a vehicle. Different monitors may use different algorithms, models, and input data from the vehicle during operation, to compare a predicted drive system output to a corresponding measured output. Additionally, monitors may include associated sets of disable conditions used to distinguish drive system faults from other driving conditions. The outputs from actuator feedback monitors, vehicle performance monitors, and disable conditions may be analyzed to detect drive system faults and control the vehicle to address the faults and control the safe operation of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220372098
Abstract: This document relates to methods and materials for targeted expansion of immune effector (Eff) T cells. For example, a composition containing one or more amino acid chains (e.g., one or more single-chain antibody/cytokine fusion proteins (immunocytokines)) that can bind to a heterodimeric receptor including an interleukin-2 receptor-? (IL-2R?) polypeptide and a common gamma chain (?c) polypeptide (e.g., an IL-2R?/?c polypeptide complex) can be administered to a mammal to stimulate Effs within the mammal to activate an immune response in that mammal. In some cases, methods and materials that can be used to treat a mammal having a condition that can benefit from activating an immune response (e.g., a cancer and/or an infectious disease) are provided. For example, a composition containing one or more single-chain immunocytokines that can bind to an IL-2R?/?c polypeptide complex can be administered to a mammal having a cancer and/or an infectious disease to treat the mammal.

  • Patent number: 11372251
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for electrical connection between components of wearable heads-up displays are described. A wearable heads-up display can include a first arm and a second arm, bridged by a front frame. The first arm can carry electrical components, the second arm can carry a power source, and the front frame can carry a set of electrically conductive current paths which provide electrical coupling between the power source and the electrical components. The first arm and the second arm can each rotate about a respective hinge relative to the front frame. A flexible, dynamic set of electrically conductive current paths can couple the electrical components in the first arm to the set of electrically conductive current paths in the front frame, and another flexible, dynamic set of electrically conductive current paths can couple the power source in the second arm to the connector in the front frame.

  • Publication number: 20140326188
Abstract: A pillowcase with a first sheet, and a second sheet of approximately the same size and directly overlying the first sheet, the sheets joined together along three edges thereof but open on a fourth edge, to form a pocket that is adapted to accept a pillow. There is a third sheet having the same width as the first and second sheets but shorter in height than the first and second sheets, and a fleece sheet having the same width as the first, second and third sheets, shorter in height than the first and second sheets and longer in height than the third sheet. The fleece sheet is attached to and covers all of one face of the third sheet and a small part of the opposing face of the third sheet. The third sheet and fleece sheet overly and are attached to the top surface of the second sheet along three edges of the third sheet and fleece sheet, but are unattached and so left open along the fourth edge, to define a pocket that is lined with fleece along its entire top.

  • Patent number: 8361193
Abstract: A system and method is provided for electrostatic air filtering in automotive vehicles, such as electric and hybrid electric vehicles. The system includes an electrical distribution system and an electrostatic filtering system having discharge electrodes and an accumulation electrode. The distribution system is in high-voltage electrical communication with the filtering system as well as an electric motor and a high-voltage energy storage device in the vehicle. In operation, the distribution system distributes high-voltage electric power to the filtering system. The filtering system receives the high-voltage electric power to generate a high-voltage electrostatic potential between the accumulation electrode and the discharge electrodes to remove particulates from air flowing through a region of the electrostatic filtering system.
