Abstract: An electric motor is disclosed which is of the brushless DC type and comprises a generally planar rotor and a generally planar stator. The rotor is a multipolar permanent magnet and is adapted is rotate with a driven element. The stator includes a motor coil and a control section having control elements for regulating current in the coil. In order to provide a motor which has an improved arrangement for connecting the coil to the control elements and is relatively inexpensive to manufacture, the motor coil is formed integrally with the control section, and the control elements are connected to a conductor pattern in the control section.
