  • Patent number: 11927357
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of thermostats corresponding to a plurality of HVAC systems that serve a plurality of spaces and a computing system communicable with the plurality of thermostats via a network. The computing system is configured to, for each space of the plurality of spaces, obtain a set of training data relating to thermal behavior of the space, identify a model of thermal behavior of the space based on the set of training data, perform a model predictive control process using the model of thermal behavior of the space to obtain a temperature setpoint for the space, and provide the temperature setpoint to the thermostat corresponding to the HVAC system serving the space. The plurality of thermostats are configured to control the plurality of HVAC systems in accordance with the temperature setpoints.

  • Patent number: 6598841
Abstract: The present invention provides a height adjustable table leg including an upper housing attachable to an underside of a table and being formed with an upper tubular portion. A lower tube member is dimensioned and configured to be telescopingly received by the upper tubular portion. A cam member is pivotably mounted to the upper tubular portion and selectively cooperates with an undulating strip attached to the lower tube member in one of a plurality of telescoped positions relative to the upper tubular portion.

  • Patent number: 6416123
Abstract: A rocking chair conversion component having at least one arcuate member and at least one socket. In one embodiment, the socket has planar members positioned such that a gap forms between each of the planar members, allowing the socket to sandwich a flange occurring at the bottom of a chair, thus coupling the chair to the rocking chair conversion component and producing a stable rocking chair.

  • Publication number: 20010048037
Abstract: A chemical infeed system for a sprinkler or irrigation system including a water carrying element or supply line such as a pipe or tube for the flow of water to one or more sprinkler heads or other outlets or openings, the infeed system including at least one receptacle or container for receiving and holding a quantity of a desired chemical; a pump having an inlet or suction side for pumping or drawing the chemical from the receptacle and a discharge or outlet side connected in liquid communication with the water carrying element or supply line for pumping the chemical into the water flow therethrough. The pump of the present chemical infeed system can be powered by conventional line current, such as 110 volt household current, and can be actuated by a relay or other device which connects the pump to a power source when a power signal is received from a controller of the sprinkler or irrigation system. The power signal may be the same voltage or a different voltage than the power source for the pump.

  • Patent number: 4993536
Abstract: A case turning assist attachment for a palletizing machine of the type including a linear live roller conveyor for conveying cases to a pallet loading rake, includes a push member operably connected to a double acting air cylinder controlled by an air switch. The air switch includes an abutment member for activating an air valve upon contact with a forward end of a case. The case turning attachment allows a faster and more efficient operation of a conventional type of palletizing machine by more rapidly orienting cases to be palletized in a correct position.

  • Patent number: 4775937
Abstract: A betting system having a number of betting terminals and displays connected to a central control unit. The betting system allows both fixed price and expected dividend betting by continually calculating the odds and liabilities in respect of each contestant and ensuring that the total liability incurred does not exceed the total amount of money wagered. Only expected dividend betting is allowed until a threshold level of wagers received is reached either by wagers received at the terminals or by transfers of funds from another body. Once the threshold is reached both fixed price and expected dividend betting is allowed by the system.
