  • Publication number: 20240081440
Abstract: Improved personal protective equipment facial wear including, in one embodiment, an at least partly adhesive mask, and one or more adhesive eye shields. In one implementation, the mask avoids significant contact with the delicate periorbital skin of the wearer, yet provides a substantially airtight seal so as to preclude moisture vapor transfer and “fogging” of eyeware or instruments. In another implementation, adherence of the eye shield is at least partially overlapping with the mask and creates an at least partial seal around a perimeter of the eye shield. Further, an at least partial seal is formed around a perimeter of the mask. The mask and eye shield additionally prevent nasal air flow obstruction, and address the problem of skin irritation and attachment during normal facial expression and movement of the wearer.

  • Publication number: 20240074905
Abstract: Apparatus for protection of the ear and ear canal, and related methods of use and operation. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a selectively actuated valve which permits a varying or modulated size of aperture to be created by the wearer while the apparatus is in use, so as to accommodate varying functions, such as complete occlusion (e.g., for use in swimming or other acquatic activities such that water can be completely excluded) or partial occlusion (e.g., such that sounds can be heard by the wearer, whether in air or under water). In one implementation, the apparatus is retained within the ear canal of the wearer by virtue of the apparatus' shape and coordination with one or more natural features or contours of the anatomy in the ear region, without having to be inserted more than superficially into the outer portion of the ear canal.

Abstract: A roof assembly for a work vehicle includes a roof panel having a vertical peak positioned longitudinally between a forward end and a rearward end of the roof panel. In addition, the roof panel includes a forward surface extending from the vertical peak to the forward end of the roof panel, and the roof panel includes a rearward surface extending from the vertical peak to the rearward end of the roof panel. The roof panel also includes a ridge extending around a periphery of the roof panel. The ridge has a first gap positioned at the rearward end of the roof panel, a second gap positioned at the forward end of the roof panel, and a third gap positioned at a first lateral end of the roof panel. In addition, the roof panel does not include a channel extending along the roof panel.

  • Publication number: 20180029851
Abstract: A linkage assembly for a machine is disclosed. The linkage assembly includes a boom and a stick pivotally coupled to a front end of the boom. The boom includes a base plate having a first portion and a second portion. The second portion is inclined at angle with respect to the first portion. The boom further includes a pair of side plates attached to the base plate, and a top plate attached to the pair of side plates. The base plate, the pair of side plates, and the top plate together define a box structure. A baffle plate is disposed within the box structure at a predefined distance from the front end of the boom. The boom further includes a mounting member attached to the base plate of the boom. The mounting member is configured to couple with a first hydraulic actuator and a second hydraulic actuator.

  • Patent number: 8997467
Abstract: A machine includes an engine having a coolant system, an electrical system, and an exhaust system. A diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) injector provides DEF into the exhaust system. The DEF injector includes a housing that forms a coolant passage therethrough. The coolant passage is adapted to accommodate a flow of coolant through the coolant passage for cooling the DEF injector. A DEF pump is arranged to provide DEF to the DEF injector from a reservoir during operation of the engine. A power management module is associated with the electrical system, the DEF injector and the DEF pump. An auxiliary power unit is associated with the power management module and is configured to remain active after the engine electrical system has been deactivated. The power management module is configured to cause a purge of the DEF from the DEF injector when the engine is shut down.

  • Patent number: 8876119
Abstract: A grommet and seal assembly enables a pair of ducts to pass through a sound wall that separates an engine from a cooling system. The disclosed grommet and seal assembly enables the sound wall to flex without breaking the seal between the grommets and the air ducts. The grommet and seal assembly may include a pair of flexible grommets which are installed in openings in the sound wall and through which the air ducts are installed. Rigid proximal and distal plates may then be coupled together so that the flexible grommets are sandwiched between the proximal and distal plates. Each flexible grommet may include dual flanges and all four flanges may be sandwiched between the proximal and distal plates after the proximal and distal plates are coupled together. A center plate may also be included between the flanges and between the proximal and distal plates for additional structural integrity.
