  • Patent number: 7822431
Abstract: According to a method of relaying data originated from the network isolated device which is addressed to a target destination device, the method includes establishing a temporary wireless communication connection with the network isolated device, storing data received from the network isolated device via the temporary wireless communication connection and terminating the temporary wireless communication connection. A subsequent communication connection is established with a communication device and the data is transferred to the communication device via the subsequent communication connection. Subsequent transfers of the data to other communication devices are ceased regardless of whether the data is successfully relayed to the target destination device in response to a data transfer extinction parameter, and the stored data is deleted in response to the data transfer extinction parameter.

  • Patent number: 7668560
Abstract: A first communication device without direct network access sends a message to a second communication device connected to a remote network by relaying the message through one or more mobile communication devices. In one embodiment, a mobile communication device comprises a wireless communication circuit configured to establish a temporary wireless communication connection with the network isolated device and to receive data transferred via the temporary wireless communication connection. Further, the wireless communication circuit is configured to terminate the temporary wireless communication connection, to establish a subsequent communication connection with a communication device and to transfer the data to the communication device via the subsequent communication connection. According to some embodiments, a user of the device is offered an incentive to enable the device to transfer the data.

  • Patent number: 5600491
Abstract: A thermal imaging system (100) for a vehicle includes an objective lens (104) for receiving an image of the object, an eyepiece lens (102) for viewing the image of the object, and a compensator lens (106) movably located between the objective and eyepiece lenses (104, 102) for providing a thermal image of the object. The system (100) includes a servo motor control system (107, 109, 110, 112 and 114) for controlling the position of the compensator lens (106) based upon temperature, range and field of view to provide an accurate thermal image of the object.
