  • Publication number: 20230183124
Abstract: The present invention provides a glass sheet having soda-lime-silica glass composition with a high visible light transmittance (LtC) of at least 89% with a dominant wavelength (DW) from about 490 to 505 nanometers and purity (Pe) of no more than 1% for control thickness of 5.66 mm and methods of making the same. The glass composition comprising a low iron raw material, a total iron oxide (Fe2O3) of 0.02 to 0.06 wt. %, ferrous (FeO) from 0.006 to 0.02 wt. %, redox (FeO/Fe2O3) from about 0.30 to 0.55, Cr2O3 from about 0.3 to 10 ppm, TiO2 from about 50 to 500 ppm, SnO2 from about 10 to 500 ppm, and a critical amount from about 0.10 to 0.25 wt. % of SO3. • Patent number: 9758426
Abstract: The present invention relates to reflective articles, such as solar mirrors, that include a sacrificial cathodic layer. The reflective article, more particularly includes a substrate, such as glass, having a multi-layered coating thereon that includes a lead-free sacrificial cathodic layer. The sacrificial cathodic layer includes at least one transition metal, such as a particulate transition metal, which can be in the form of flakes (e.g., zinc flakes). The sacrificial cathodic layer can include an inorganic matrix formed from one or more organo-titanates. Alternatively, the sacrificial cathodic layer can include an organic polymer matrix (e.g., a crosslinked organic polymer matrix formed from an organic polymer and an aminoplast crosslinking agent). The reflective article also includes an outer organic polymer coating, that can be electrodeposited over the sacrificial cathodic layer.

  • Patent number: 9359808
Abstract: An insulating unit includes a first spacer frame between first and second sheets, e.g. glass sheets, and a second spacer frame between the second sheet and a third sheet. A first surface of the first spacer frame is adhered to inner surface of the first sheet, and an opposite second surface of the first spacer frame is adhered to a first surface of the second sheet, by a moisture impervious adhesive layer. A first outer surface of the second spacer frame is adhered to a second surface of the second sheet, and an opposite second outer surface of the second spacer frame is adhered to an inner surface of the third sheet, by the adhesive layer. • Publication number: 20140060625
Abstract: A framed solar module includes a solar module having solar cells between a pair of sheets. The solar module is mounted in a frame, preferably a closed frame having a continuous base, and V-shaped cut outs or partially V-shaped in the upright legs where corners of the solar module are expected. A layer of a pliable moisture resistant sealant is provided between inner surface of the frame and the peripheral edge, and the marginal edge portions, of the solar module. A spacer, e.g. but not limited to a plurality of spaced protuberances formed on the inner surface of the dosed frame engage the outer surface of the solar module to provide the layer with a uniform thickness between the frame and the solar module.

  • Patent number: 8557099
Abstract: An electrically conductive protective coating or film is provided over the surface of a reflective coating of a solar mirror by flowing or directing a cation containing liquid and an anion containing liquid onto the conductive surface. The cation and the anion containing liquids are spaced from, and preferably out of contact with one another on the surface of the reflective coating as an electric current is moved through the anion containing liquid, the conductive surface between the liquids and the cation containing liquid to coat the conductive surface with the electrically conductive coating.

  • Patent number: 6288652
Abstract: A five-switch keypad apparatus having four diodes that multiplex the switch contacts onto three sense terminals. The three sense terminals create a binary code that defines eight possible switch states. The eight states are used to indicate each individual switch closure, a lack of a switch closure, and two simultaneous dual switch closures. In an application, a decoder, connected to the three sense terminals, converts the sequence of binary codes into three control signals. The three control signals can control a door lock, a trunk lock and an automatic lock function.

  • Patent number: 6069461
Abstract: The use of a Gray code ganged wiper switch and an electronic circuit controlling the washer-pump motor and wiper motor allow the use of a minimal number of wires in the overall interval wiper system than found in conventional systems. Circuit redundancy and Gray coding method provides several added reliability features at a low manufacturing cost. The system further provides a resistorless control of the several power output functions of the system.
