  • Patent number: 8376614
Abstract: A reclosable storage bag and zipper tape for use in conjunction with same is disclosed. The reclosable bag includes first and second panels which are sealed about bottom, left, and right edges leaving an open top. The closure system further includes first and second closure assemblies or zippers which can be individually or simultaneously closed to seal the contents within the bag. Even after the first and second zippers are engaged thereby closing the bag, excess air within the bag can be removed simply be manually compressing the bag and thereby forcing the air through the vent apertures provided between the zippers. A valve internal to the closure system may be provided proximate the vent apertures and open upon sufficient application of pressure thereby allowing for air to be evacuated from the bag.

  • Publication number: 20040234173
Abstract: A reclosable pouch includes a body portion having first and second opposing bag walls, wherein each bag wall has an internal side. The pouch further includes a first reclosable closure mechanism disposed on the internal sides of the first and second bag walls, respectively, wherein the first closure mechanism includes a slider for opening and closing the first and second closure elements. Still further, the pouch includes a second reclosable closure mechanism disposed on the internal sides of the first and second bag walls, respectively. The second closure mechanism is spaced from the first closure mechanism such that the slider mechanism of the first closure mechanism does not open or close the third and fourth closure elements of the second closure mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6579008
Abstract: A multicompartment reclosable thermoplastic bag having at least two compartments is disclosed. Each compartment has a top, a bottom, side edges, and two opposing sidewalls joined at the side edges and the bottom. Each compartment has a closure across the top thereof, which are arranged back-to-back and aligned such that the center points of each closure are less than ½ inch (1.27 cm) away from each other. The compartments are attached together proximate the tops of the compartments, and the bottoms of the compartments are free from being attached to each other. A process for making the bag is also disclosed.
