    Abstract: A fishing pole where the outermost section of the fishing pole is capable of being illuminated. The illumination of the outermost section is to be selectable by the user to not be illuminated, be illuminated continuously or to be illuminated only when the outermost section of the rod of the fishing pole is jerked which occurs when a fish is attempting to take the bait which is connected at the outer end of the fishing line.
