  • Patent number: 6527235
Abstract: A desk accessory support for use with a desktop has an upper surface, a lower surface and an edge extending between the upper and lower surfaces. The support includes a first abutment for abutting the upper surface, and a second abutment for abutting the lower surface. A connecting structure is configured for connecting the first and second abutments to each other. The first and second abutments and the connecting structure define a substantially U-shaped recess for receiving the edge of the desktop.

  • Patent number: 5588375
Abstract: A workstation (1) includes two transversely spaced apart and opposed mounting tracks (2) connecting a VDU support shelf (3) and a keyboard support (4) for relative longitudinal movement. Each track (2) includes a longitudinally extending body (5) for abutting the bottom surface (6) of support shelf (3) Tracks (2) are held in fixed relation with surface (6) by a plurality of spaced apart counter sunk screws (7) which are received by complementary apertures (8 ) in body (5). First and second transverse arms (9,10) extend from body (5) and have respective opposed substantially parallel first and second engagement surfaces (11,12) which in combination with body (5) define an open ended channel (13) for retaining a complementary support formation in the form of a support bracket (14). The free end (15) of arm (9) extends beyond the free end (16) of arm (10) and includes a peripherally depending lip (18).

  • Patent number: 5098053
Abstract: A keyboard support apparatus has a mounting bracket (11), a keyboard support bracket (15) pivotally connected via parallel bars (20, 25) permitting change in altitude of bracket (15). The mechanism may be locked against change in altitude by means of a formation 58 associated with a bar (20) which is interengageable with a formation (54) associated with bracket (15) by means of a laterally operable lever 40 resiliently biased by a spring plate 52 towards engagement. In a preferred embodiment (FIGS. 13 to 15) support bracket (15) may be tilted about a pivot (22) and the mechanism permits one-handed selective operation of altitude adjustment or tilt adjustment.

  • Patent number: 5031867
Abstract: A keyboard support apparatus includes a first bracket and a second bracket interconnected by first, second and third elongate members. The first and second elongate members are pivotally attached by a first pivot pin to the first bracket. The first elongate member is also pivotally attached by a second pivot pin to the second bracket. The third elongate member is pivotally attached by a third pivot pin to the first bracket, while the second and third elongate members cooperate with a further pivot pin on the second bracket to releasably engage the second and third elongate members. The first and second brackets are connected to a supporting surface and a keyboard, respectively, and the elongate members are movable in substantially the same plane when released from the second bracket.

  • Patent number: 4691888
Abstract: Apparatus for supporting a keyboard from a desk comprises a mounting bracket (1) adapted to be fastened to the underside of a desk top (7), a keyboard support bracket (4) to which a keyboard or support platform (8) may be mounted. Brackets (1,4) are connected by a mechanism which permits bracket 4 to be raised or lowered (FIG. 3 members 10,20 pivotally mounted at 12, 13, 21, 26) and to be tilted (pin 26, slot 25).Adjustment of attitude and of tilt are both enabled and disabled by means of a single control for example a screwed clamp wheel mounted on threaded clamp bolt 30 which when unclamped slides in slots 30 & 37.
