  • Patent number: 7862285
Abstract: Disclosed is a hoist trolley having a pair of jacking plates with apertures for attaching the plates to a compressor. Fixed to the opposing ends of the jack-plates are telescopic legs with extendable retractable wheels and a screw jack that is used to elevate the load, once the plates are attached, enabling the wheels to be extended. Once extended, the jack base plate is raised with the wheels supporting the load. Transporting the load is accomplished by providing a pair of rails cantilevered from a stand. Also provides are additional elements to enhance the range of applications for the compressor trolley including a pry bar incorporating a motive member whereby the bar can be used in the similar function of supporting some part of the load while moving to a workspace and a depending pivot arm having one element of a fastener, with the other incorporated into an opposing jacking plate. Furthermore, the spaced apart trolley rails can include integral rollers.

  • Patent number: 6928689
Abstract: A roller cage assembly for use with a support rod is described. The roller cage assembly has a roller sleeve, a pair of end hub members, and a tube for use with a support rod. Each end hub member has an inner hub, an outer hub, a cavity, and a keeper. Each cavity receives and allows rotational movement of a corresponding keeper. Each cavity has a slightly reduced outer aperture defined by an annular tab to facilitate rotational movement of the keeper. Each keeper has a passage for receiving the support rod, an expandable gap for securing the support rod, and slip ridges to facilitate rotational movement of the keeper. Each keeper also typically has a joined slit membrane for maintaining a substantially constant degree of tension on the support rod. The tube is connected between the inner hub of each end hub member, and the roller sleeve is connected between the outer hub of each end hub member.

  • Patent number: 6851155
Abstract: A roller cage assembly provides a support for a roller sleeve and consisting of a primary and secondary hub. The inner surface of the primary hub and the inner surface of the secondary hub provides a compression fitting so that a longitudinal tube pressed into the compression fitting on the primary inner hub and pressed into the compression fitting on the secondary inner hub joins primary inner hub to secondary inner hub by the longitudinal tube and results in one complete unit. The circumference of the outer primary hub and the circumference of the secondary outer hub is encircled by the rubber or formed plastic o-ring providing a seal to prevent liquids from entering the inner cavity of the roller cage assembly. Each cage hub assembly encloses the roller sleeve into a fixed and immovable position.

  • Publication number: 20030188394
Abstract: A roller cage assembly consisting of a primary and secondary hub. Each hub has an inner and outer surface. The inner surface of the primary hub and the inner surface of the secondary hub provides a compression fitting so that a longitudinal tube pressed into the said compression fitting on the primary inner hub and pressed into the said compression fitting on the secondary inner hub joins primary inner hub to secondary inner hub by said longitudinal tube and results in one complete unit. The circumference of the outer primary hub and the circumference of the secondary outer hub provided by a glue joint results in a seal to prevent liquids from entering the inner cavity of the roller cage assembly. These parts joined forms a unit, and represents the said roller cage assembly. This roller cage assembly provides the framework support for the paint roller sleeve. Together, the primary and secondary hub assembly joins the roller sleeve and together forms a fixed and immovable unit, the roller cage assembly.

  • Patent number: 6622453
Abstract: A unique, clean, fast and low cost method for the application of a textured ceiling, and if necessary the removal of acoustical ceiling, including improved tooling that does not include the use of ladders, scaffolding or other such dangerous structures. The tooling includes a unique changeable tool holder for readily exchanging the tools required, such as a ceiling scraping tool, ceiling brush, texture application pad, and spreading blade. Improved means for isolating the work area are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20030135955
Abstract: An extension pole assembly whereby individual tubes, separate and exactly the same as one another, may be joined to achieve desired length, and a locking push button connects each together as each tube end is inserted into the inside of each additional tube beginning, to form an inner and outer tube connection. The locking push button is positioned into the end of the first pole and as each additional pole is added, the added pole slips onto the first pole, the second pole forming the outer tube, the first pole forming the inner tube, the push button retains the newly connected tube into a locked position. The end of each pole contains a rubber protective insert. As each additional tube extension is added, the rubber insert is always at the end of the tube. The rubber insert provides a protective end so as not to mar or damage surroundings in work area.

  • Patent number: 4664052
Abstract: A control system for causing a vehicle, such as a ship, to follow a track comprising track segments TS1, TS2 whose position and heading are specified, in accordance with a weighted function of track error and heading error. On changing from following a track segment TS1 to the next segment TS2 at P1 the vehicle will overshoot, as shown by curve A. The invention provides for the weighting factor for the heading to be temporarily increased when the vehicle changes track segments, thus reducing the overshoot as shown by curve B. A further improvement, indicated by curve C, is obtained by fixing the changeover point at P2, in advance of the track segment intersection, the amount of the advance being a function of vehicle characteristics and speed.
