  • Publication number: 20240307074
Abstract: A system and device for use in open or minimally invasive surgical procedures, such as a bone implant fixation procedure. The device is configured to perform various functions during a bone implant fixation procedure, including performing at least one of: penetration of a bone to form a hole or opening for receipt of a screw; neuromonitoring, in cooperation with a neuromonitoring device, of the hole during, or post-, formation of the hole so as to sense any nearby nerves adjacent to the hole that may be in the path of a screw, or otherwise affected, when a screw is placed within the hole; neurostimulation, in cooperation with a neuromonitoring device, of nerves adjacent to the hole during, or post-, formation of the hole; and measuring of a depth of the hole and providing a digital measurement of the depth to assist the surgeon in selecting the appropriate length of screw.

  • Patent number: 5368528
Abstract: A planet gear is rotatably supported in a planet carrier assembly on needle bearings. A first, gear thrust washer bearing member permits relative rotation between the planet gear and the carrier assembly while transmitting thrust forces between the planet gear to the carrier. The thrust forces generated by the needle bearings are transmitted to the first, gear thrust washer bearing member through a second, needle, thrust washer bearing member which is disposed in a recess within the face of the planet gear and freely rotatable relative to the planet gear.

  • Patent number: 4945782
Abstract: The present invention is utilized for demountable securing a power take-off ring gear to the clutch drum on the clutch housing of a vehicular transmission. Specifically, a mounting sleeve releasably secures the power take-off ring to the clutch drum. The mounting sleeve has a generally annular body portion configured as an alternating series of circumferentially spaced, radially outer, crown plate portions and circumferentially spaced, root plate portions displaced radially inwardly with respect to the crown plate portions. The crown plate portions and the root plate portions are connected to each other by a series of substantially radially oriented web walls to present a circumferentially extending, corrugated configuration to the mounting sleeve, and the corrugated configuration operatively effects the driving engagement between the sleeve and the clutch drum. A series of first locking dogs extend radially inwardly from at least selected crown plate portions.

  • Patent number: 4033330
Abstract: A transcutaneous pH measuring device is provided in which a known volume of fluid is brought into equilibrium with body fluids through a membrane on a portion of skin whose surface layers have been stripped away. The fluid contains a pH sensitive dye. Optical measurements of the transmission characteristics of the fluid are obtained when the fluid is in the optical path. During portions of each operating cycle, the fluid is driven back into the vicinity of the skin to pH equilibrate with body fluids while standardization measurements are obtained using an optical plug of known transmission characteristics in the optical path.
